You can register online or in person at Saturday's 3 p.m. scrimmage with Cal at Evergreen Valley College (and we all know which would be more fun, right?) to win a pass for two to a March 18 screening of the Sundance Film Festival winner. Winners will get to watch the movie with the team. Folks, I saw an advance screening of this movie in Seattle last night. GO SEE IT. It's a great movie. Even if you don't win tickets to the March 18 screening, it's well worth your hard-earned cash as not only a movie about women and soccer, but a well-crafted drama/comedy about the clash of cultures between old and new. Go see it.
I bought the movie about a month ago and it has definately become one of my faves alongside "Joe Dirt", "Dumb and Dumber", and the "Austin Powers" trilogy. I don't want to give away much about the movie but there is a Santa Clara refernce in there!
I watched it tonight.. saw the team.. they all seemed to be in good spirits.. Megs told me they have fitness testing tomorrow.. ahhh! hehe.. I LOVED IT! I got tiks to go watch it again at the Milpitas/Great Mall Premier on Sunday! hehe.
Yo Rita! So you liked the movie, eh? Might have to go check that out. Thanks for the little dip on the team...we are so news-starved it's not even funny.
i watched the trailer for Bend it Like Beckham, it's a cool little movie, too bad Century in Richmond is not showing it, looks like i'll have to trek down to AMC Bay Street 16 Emeryville the weekend of April 11!
