I hope the folks at Giants stadium keep an extra eye open now that war is around the corner, even for Metrostars games which at first glance you wouldnt think would be a target. Nobody thought public building would be either.

Are there special security measures nowadays at stadiums (including for "lowly" MLS).

yea... no watter bottles, no cameras, no flags, no banners, no streamers, no standing up, no singing, no chanting...... these are all things that terrorists use and GS security must be pro-active!

Jets Stadium security is an absolute fu(kin' joke. Those fu<kin' fu<ks ruin the whole experience of a prefessional soccer game. Why is it not fair around the board? For NFL games, no one should be allowed to yell at players or stand up to cheer a touchdown. Ever think of that? Why are the rules different for each tenant? Metros need out of that rat hole in the worst way. Security there is gestapo-like.

    Note to File:

The rules are not noticeably different. Try standing up at a Jets game at an inappropriate time, i.e. when there is not a stop in play, and you'll be lucky if the security folks get to you before the people behind you.

As a soccer fan, I find standing for 90 minutes to be appropriate. The stadium people do not and, as my experiences in Section 135 in 1996 showed, neither do many of the non-ESC folks at Metro matches.

And now back to your regularly scheduled windmill jousting.....
