Well obviously they aren't the only club there, plus I assume it isn't meant to be long term. I imagine they're still pushing for an MLS club.

again, I don't have a dog in the fight, but it seems like they could divide sections 20 and 19 into wedges or whatever and paint them in the different supporter group colors. Of course that raises questions about how big a group has to be. Should just paint 19 and 20 half AC STL colors and half Athletica colors. In general they should avoid alienating anyone at this early stage. Especially if halfway into the season the supporters merge into a bigger group that the whole section could be identified with.

And remember, several mistakes will be made by a young organization. I'm sure there was no malice behind the action.

I think that's an idea that's been talked about here and every group is on board with something similar. Except one. Take a stab at who that is.

I don't think ACSTL would intentionally upset it's most die-hard fans, they need to realize how it reflects.

I guess I don't see any obvious disrespect. If the club is asking non-UK seat holders in a section to move to an adjacent one in order to accommodate a growing group (and I suppose that's still an "if" at this point), then where's the disrespect? It seems like a reasonable request to me. How else is the club supposed to help the supporters groups grow?

I, like everyone else I'm sure, hope that all the supporter's groups grow in number and enthusiasm. And a win wouldn't hurt either.

    I think that is disrespect.

But I also think this whole ordeal has run its course as well. I guess we'll see how it works out and how many people react to whatever decisions are made. I'm leaving it at that.

I went back and readthe UK website, I don't think they are literally talking about painting the stands, it's just a figure of speech.

I don't get that at all.

" This section will be entirely dedicated to the UNITED KNIGHTS and it will be painted in black to indicate that this is the home of the UNITED KNIGHTS."

Regardless, Cooper knew nothing about it.
Ken Godat and I keep missing each other. Hopefully, I'll catch up with him today.

I'm getting the sense that this is wishful thinking on UK's part.

that's why I took it as being a figure of speech, I couldn't see them actually painting the bleachers black. Draping them, maybe, but not painting.

I am a bit surprised that no ones referenced the fact the the field will most likely be underwater at some point: the flood zone or the levy? Could call for some LZ over the speakers. Anyway just some thoughts.

that brings up a good point though...if the field does flood, where do we play?

    No...the levee doesn't work...that implies we're holding something back...

    We need something better....Tsunami?

What's an equivalent word for mudslide refuse but for water?
