In a bag with a cat.
Because Lehmann's dodgy ?. The goalkeepr and full backs are probably Arsenal's only real weakness.

I admit I've felt uneasy at times with Lehmann, but no more than I did with Seaman the past couple years.

But looking at the numbers, just 19 goals allowed in 29 league games.........Having said that I can easily contradict myself by saying we should've beaten Chelsea 1-0 Wednesday evening.

I guess my biggest problem with this is the fact that the story is coming out now, at the exact time when Arsenal are chasing 3 trophies.

Frey has been touting himself as an Arsenal target for at least a year now. You don't see any other rumours about it except what comes out of his mouth. He might as well go to a paper and say "I really, really, really want to play for Arsenal. Please Mr. Wenger, please, please sign me." We were deperate for a keeper last Summer, but instead of Frey we looked at every other keeper under the sun, but bought an older keeper with arguably less talent. Maybe Wenger's crystal ball predicted the crumbling of the Parmalat empire and knew we could get him on the cheap this Summer. Or maybe Wenger just doesn't rate him?

Also, I don't trust goalkeepers who roll up their sleeves. Stupid and irrational I know, but there you have it.

Lehmann's been solid. I don't think there's any argument he's given us a much more consistent performance than "old wave hands" :) did last year. (Did you hear Pat Jennings call him the best GK dealing with crosses in the Premiership?) But he's 34 and he doesn't have too many years left. And he's not a shot-stopper, which he admitted himself. Frey's only 24 or something like that. Personally, I'd rather AW give Stuart Taylor a shot. Visit

Frey looks like a punk and not the guy who's gonna be the next Bob Wilson.

I also would like to see Taylor given a chance, provided he can ever recover from injury long enough!

I've only seen Graham Stack in a couple Carling cup matches, but I think he'll be the natural successor in goal. I don't know, but Taylor seems a bit slow.

Any die hard London boys out there go see the reserves play often? Maybe you could add a more informed view to the Stack v Taylor debate.

Sebastien Frey is a good goalkeeper, but he's very pretentious, i don't like him very much.
