I have a feeling he'll be out on loan soon enough.

When he's established that he's healthy and can stay healthy. Until then, it's hard to see any team getting terribly excited about adding him to their game day roster.

West Ham is trying to get back in the EPL, if at the end of the season they have comfortably made it and Lleget is playing well I could see him on the bench for a few games

He needs a loan to a League Two side. No amount of "Developmental" exhibitions can replace the experience of fighting for 3 real points.

If he had referred to the "gaffer," he would have said it all.

I always wonder how much the transcriber "British-izes" the interviews in England...

Yeah, I'm guessing a fair amount of that goes on.

Tons. Read quotes from American politicians and celebrities in British press, they can be glaringly different than those published in American media.

In the actual interview he does actually say 'lads' and 'all credit to". It's all edited down to be succinct in the article, but everything he said is pretty much there.

He spoke with Klinsmann's assistant. He said he has a bit of history with muscle injuries. He's looking to go out on loan soon and get a few first team matches by year end, and the next step from there is the Olympic squad.

Never understood the consternation on here when an American living in England refers to his teammates as "lads," or "gaffer" for manager.

I don't get it either. Not much difference from a notherner adopting y'all after moving south.

It's not consternation - it's just good fun. No one is mad, it's just fun to laugh about it.

Anyone who's been in England for a period of time has adopted some of the lingo - and caught shit for it from their friends when they said 'cheers' when they hung up the phone after a call.

Thanks to this post I knew what RVP meant when he said "you are a good gaffer" whilst playing FIFA12.

I hope he starts getting games soon because I really think he can be part of the 2014 equation. Seb just seems so much better on the ball than the likes of Edu, and he's not a complete defensive lightweight like Torres/Adu.

Both he and the club want to send him out on loan, and he wants to play in the Olympics. The club would love to have representation at the Olympics -- currently he's the only one with a good chance. US Mgmt would probably prefer players getting competitive matches, so it's more than likely he'll be doing so by the end of the next transfer window. Patience, young padawan.

If I'm not mistaken aren't the Olympic venues situated on the east end of London, and isn't that where West Ham is based?

Its a big controversy actually, I don't know much about it but West Ham is trying to become tenants of the new Olympic stadium and there's lot of complications and political red tape they're having to deal with.

WHU, if I remember correctly, already won the battle vs the Spurs to have the new Olympic stadium become their new home ground after the Olympics. It would be a pretty big deal for them to have a player on a squad that could play there.

EDIT: Oh wow, even better. The process is being re-tendered and is starting to get interesting.
