lol I just looked on FB and people there are saying it looks like the Starbucks mermaid. I can see it now, what with the hair going down the sides like that and the crown. X-D The Portland joke site wasn't so far off after all.
The Thorns logo was an "instant" classic. This Seattle logo is in the process of slowly growing on me. It doesn't have that "WOW" factor to it immediately like the Thorns logo. You should feel very honored to be a diehard Thorns fan. Portland got the better logo. Seattle may still end up getting the better team (we'll see).
[brandinggeek] Thorns seem a little too attached to the "FC" part. I think of the team as Portland Thorns FC, home of the Thorns. I see Portland Thorns FC and Thorns FC as two separate full names of clubs. [/brandinggeek] Go the Thorns!
Upon seeing the PTFC logo, someone said it looked like a sphincter and very 90's and I can never unsee it now so... At least Seattle's is pretty unchangeable, Starbucks aside.
