That sort of reminds me of the Golden State Warriors’ long-time NBC Sports Bay Area play-by-play guy Bob Fitzgerald who, for many years, had to sound somewhat upbeat and such during a truly long, awful stretch of bad basketball under the previous ownership (i.e. the Chris Cohan ownership era) , only to then finally be rewarded with a great basketball team to call for in the past decade or so. And even with us long-timers here, we had to endure mediocre-to-bad soccer from 1996 to 2000 , only to have been rewarded for our patience with The Golden Age (2001-2005). Along with us fans, I hope that the San Jose Earthquakes social media team finally gets rewarded for its hard work and patience with a team that it can truly be excited for and proud of, hopefully sooner rather than later. Oddly enough I'll find myself in Seattle on Wednesday on business. I have meetings until 7... wonder if you can drop in and get tickets at the very last minute.
If you do, you’ll have the chance to witness in person the Earthquakes potentially winning one of the few annual awards they still can this season (other than the MLS Wooden Spoon): the MLS Heritage Cup. Since the Earthquakes defeated visiting Sounders FC earlier this season, either a win or a draw in this game would certainly be enough to win it. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G

While checking Seattle's standings and recent games, Seattle has played in 4 games since July12 where the opposing team received yellow cards. We may need to focus on the officiating. Nevermind. Who am I kidding? Seattle can beat the Quakes without the officials. Actually, I think this game will be a better effort by the Quakes. Bouda up top instead of Judd and hopefully having a decent formation will give the Quakes a better change.

Benji Kikanovic and Roger Levesque are very similar players. I've been trying to remember who he reminds me most of. A good utility man.
Not so sure, if BK starts going bald... he might match him. They both have rectangle heads. Roger has more MLS Cups/Open Cups and Goals as well. We should all love Roger as well, he's a "Stanford" guy.
I always enjoy Sounder/Quakes games... This one is one of my all time favorites, and being there live was AWESOME.
