Well the Mariners finsihed 4th in the AL West last season. In the offseason the Mariners did well. They got Sexson and Beltre which should help the offense alot. Mariners should be much better than they were last season.

How sad is it that there is no thread for this here.

Well, I wont be able to probably comment much this season, since Ill be still in Berlin until the playoffs roll around, but I think the story of this season is going to be what its been so far, we are not exactly horrible, but we are not exactly good either. Where do you guys think we will finish this season in the west? I would say probably 3rd, and thus no playoff spot. However I do think we are moving in the right direction, we just really need to make sure we keep hold of Ichiro long term and keep building the pitching more.

Come on Mariner fans, show your faces!

If the Yankees and Red Sox lose today while the Mariners and Blue Jays win, there will be a 4-way tie for the last two playoff spots in the AL.
