The Wizards have surpassed their previous best for sales this year. Any idea how we're doing? I havn't seen this topic posted.
I can confirm that DC United has sold at least one full season ticket package for the 2003 season. Hope this helps.
Chris Bergin is trying to track down this info for all of the MLS clubs. Combining that with posters in the MLS News & Analysis forum, here are a few notes. DC United: Over $1M in ticket sales as of December 2002 (~3,075 season tix) Chicago: Up 200% compared to this time last season Columbus: 8k season tickets sold with a goal of 10k by opening day New England: Projected up significantly Metros: Projected to increase Dallas: Already surpassed last year's season ticket total, and are 26% above last season in corporate sponsorship Colorado: Up in monetary value compared to last season Kansas City: Projected to have approximately 5K season tickets sold by end of February Los Angeles: Projected to be up significantly San Jose: Projected to increase Those are the best estimates we have at the moment. Some clubs do not release season ticket info, but do release revenue info, others release ticket info. But I think the numbers appear to have increased for every team, which is excellent. Huge increases seen in Kansas City and significant increases in several others. -Tron
Nothing but speculation at this point. I haven't seen any informed analysis of what their actual totals are. But if you're really interested, their supporter's site http://www.lariotsquad.com usually has the best information on all of that stuff, and on their message boards I'm sure you could get some inside information if it's available. -Tron
