I just received my 2 half-season ticket books via UPS - now I'm just waiting for the 4 full season books. A little disappointing to look at though. Each ticket simply has the DCU logo on it, not an individual player picture as in years past. I hope the full season ones look a bit nicer.
Do you blame them? When they put in the ticket order, they had no idea who would be on the team this year. Hopefully, they'll do well this year, and the whole team will get on next year's tickets.
LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE. There is no way you can have any portion of your season tickets it is more than 3 days away from the home opener.
Re: Re: Season Tickets Arrive OK, you're right ... they aren't mine ... they are for a friend and his daughter. My full season ones will be sent to someone else in the middle of D.C. and I'll get them 3 days after the opener (that actually happened 2 years ago ).
I have just gotten my season tickets! The tickets have the DC United logo on a black background. NICE! I also got a black t-shirt. A DC United logo with three stars in the front, and a BACK TO GLORY with the game dates on the back! NICE! (It reminds me of a concert tour t-shirt) The parking tickets were also sent in the same package! GREAT job DC UNITED! ps-The package came by way of UPS second day air in a plastic package, with another big plastic bag over it to protect it from the rain. Very well done.
Got my full season package this afternoon and the T-Shirt (I wonder why they think I'm an XL?). I'm set - how long 'til the opener?
If anyone ends up with an extra T-shirt they'd like to give to a fan who can't get Season Tickets this year, drop me a PM.
I'd just like to get one shirt for each of my season tickets. For now, I have to explain to someone why they don't get one and try to figure out how to fit another grown person into a medium instead of a large.
The youth soccer club I work for during the summer sells DC United tickets and we get a certain percentage of the revenue. It also means that I can get a seat field level anytime I want.
Still no tix for me. Any Nest-dwellers have tix in hand yet? I seem to recall Nestix getting sent out a week or so after the rest last year, so I'm not going to push the panic button yet. Yet.
Two tickets. Two T-shirts. I forgot to check the sizes, but they looked big enough. This is the first year that I haven't had to engaged in a campaign against UPS to free up my tickets. Apparently somebody finally thought of not checking that damn "need signature" box. It's been an ordeal the last few years to obtain my tickets. This time, they were there waiting for me when I got home last night. Ready for the season to start: Lock and load!
Got my tix, parking passes, and two t-shirts today. I don't recall ordering a large and a small, but hey, whatever. There was a nice letter from Fred Matthes (Director, Ticketing and Customer Service) to Screaming Eagles season ticket holders, which included the following note: A nice touch. There was also a letter from Stephen Zack, to all United season ticket holders - also a nice touch. Finally, I'm glad to see they decided to do away with pictures of individual players on the tickets - between ditching those and the cursed road uniforms, we should have much better mojo both at home and on the road this season.
I got a phone call this morning asking if my tickets had arrived, if the shirts were the right size, ... Nice touch.
