family is contemplating club seats or the sideline seating directly across from the club seats. didnt ask the ticket agent what is the perk that makes club seats 1750 a seat as opposed to the 700 or so for reserved seats? dont want to really call him back until ready to buy because of the fact they are trying to sell sell sell. so in anyones personal experience who has had club seats or has them what are the main reasons for the price hike? thanks.

I have club seats, which I am able to use for business purposes a good part of the time. Here are the differences:

    1. On day games you sit with your back to the sun and in the shade v. sitting looking into the sun.

    2. The West Side club seats will always be club seats. The east side opposite are sold with the LAG reaining the right to convert them to club seats at some future date.

    3. Access to the Stadium Club

    4. More flexible ticket exchange privileges

    5. Parking is part of the price - one pass per two seats, in a lot close to the entrance. That cuts down the price difference by a few hundred bucks, if you normally pay for parking in the stadium lots.

    6. Separate VIP entrance

    7. Separate VIP ticket agent/contact person.

    8. Right of early purchase on concerts and HDC events (like the HS Football championships, the Tennis Tournament, etc.) Plus you get an opportunity to buy tickets to some Staples Center events on a pre-public sale basis.

All of which does not actually add up to very much. I must admit that the Stadium Club is a really nice perk when I am entertaining clients or prospective clients. The food is good and the people very attentive.

The flexible ticket exchange has been worth while for me - much less likely that I will ever wate a seat that way.

The "sun at your back" element is worth something and the parking included is an economic benefit.

The other features are not all that big a deal. In fact, if I could not use the tickets for business I probably would not be getting the club seats.

    Hope this helps.

Club tix are a waste of money

Club seats are a waste of money.

They are behind the team benches, which is great, and you get a few perks as Cadaver has mentioned, but you can sit on the opposite side of the stadium, at the 50 yard line, for 1/2 the cost.

On the rare instance there is a day game, you can still exchange your tickets for seats on the shady side, you'll just sit closer to the corner, which is actually a fresh experience.

Also, the atmosphere in the Club seats is pretty weak, since it rarely is more than 1/2 full, simply because most people, no matter how wealthy, see little reason to pay twice as much for seats that really aren't measureably better than sideline seats on the opposite side.

Of course, if someone else was paying the tab, I might get the Club seats..... but with my own money - - hell, no.

PS: For reasons stated elsewhere, I'll probably just get a 10 game package, unless the Galaxy games get more interesting, since I missed many games this year thanks to the dull-ass SigiBall.
