Did any other season ticket holders know that if you go and get tickets the day of the game you don't get the discount for being a season ticket holder. I never did and had to pay the full amount at the game on sunday. I don't see the point for doing this. Does anybody else?

Just curious, since I had purchased my extra tickets prior to the game, but did you try the center circle pass? I know for regular season games that pass let you get extra tickets for season ticket holder prices.

CC pass makes no difference. Jess and I couldn't make game 1 v. the Fire so we tried to purchase for game 2 with our pass at discount.

    No dice.

Um ... it's the same point that season tickets exist in the first place. It's so they can get all your money up front and make you more likely to show up no matter what the weather/schedule/etc. is.

i believe they told us all up front (allbeit..too damn close to the first match)....

    1. buy all 4 matches b/f gm 1 and receive the disc.
    2. buy them game by game and receive no disc.

i think that it was a pathetic way to do it.....but, that was their decree from day 1.

It also appeared that they would change for the entire 4 matches at once. For us that was $160, and my guess that instead of getting an easy refund, they would likely try to keep the funds in an account toward next years season tickets.

Now I'm hearing that they charged credit cards one game at a time. Is that true?

They charged mine one at a time, and I haven't yet been charged for next season's renewal.

I was charged for all four games for each of the three season tickets I have at once. It wasn't a problem for me at this point, but I wasn't even offered the option of the game at time charge.

again, they can not hold onto your $ if you don't want them to. if the revs would have only had 2 p.o. games here, you could have gotten an immediate credit to your account for the other 2 as opposed to the krafts rolling it over. there is no need for these guys to have your $ at all. i've done this everytime we've had to pay up front for something over the past 4 years.

If you bought the 4 game playoff pack- you got charged for all 4 games at one time.

If you opted to renew for next season- they are charging one game at a time as played- this was an "added" bonus for renewing early.

As for individual or extra tickets to each game-I have not done that so I really do not know what the policy is or would be.

as a season ticket holder, you should not be forced to buy a 4 game package to get your discount. You should have the option of picking the games you want to see, buying your tickets and gettting the discount. I for one live in CT, have season tickets but work nights so a wednesday game is no good for me....I have to buy tickets for that game to get a discount? Its bush league. So after having this arguement on the phone with some ticket rep i don't know, because they canned Dave Pike.....this guy knows I am pissed and asks me for my credit card so I can get a jump on next years season tickets. MY reply was, "So i can be treated like this again next year? Your too kind Thanks but no thanks."

I actually had a good experience at the ticket window for the playoffs. I have 2 Season Tickets (Catagory II, but in section 109, center field, grandfathered because I've held my season tix for 7 years).

I knew I could only attend the first 2 playoff games, not all 4, and so I didn't buy my Playoff Strip, because I truly beleive the Revs will go all the way to the MLS Cup, and I would end up eating the last 2 games (at 20 a piece, plus the 5 dollar processsing fee).

So, I went down to the ticket window the day before game 1, Center Circle pass in hand, and I was helped by a wonderful girl named Sara. I told her my predicament and asked if there was any way I could purchase my own seats in section 109 (to be with my friends) without purchasing the strip of 4 games.

She released my seats for all 4 games into the pool of available tickets (at that point anyone could have bought my seats at walk up), and she sold me my seats for game 1. The price of the tickets was $30 each (I only would've paid $20 each, buying the playoff strip for category II seats). So it appears that I paid the price of the seats for Category I seats (only the front office knows about the grandfathered deal on my catagory II seats) BUT (and a big BUT at that), I got the Season Ticket Discount for Category I seats, since normal walk up for those seats was $35.

I then asked Sara if there was any way I could buy my seats for game 2 the following week, but she said no, since the Revs could get beat 2 straight.

What she did do for me though, was she put my seats in 109 for the second game on hold, so I could come down the day before the game the following week, and buy those seats at the same price, if there was to be a second home game in the Revs/Fire series. So, the following week I went back down to the ticket office, and Sara helped me again to get my season ticket seats so I could sit with my friends, and once again I paid the Catagory I season ticket price of $30, even though they are technically catagory II seats.

Do you think I was gonna complain about paying the extra 10 bucks for each of my tickets? Hell no!

Sara went above and beyond the call of duty for me, a Rev Season Ticket Holder, and for all intents and purposes, I paid 60 bucks per seat for the 2 games that I could attend, instead of paying 80 bucks for the strip (plus the 5 dollar processing fee) for the same 2 games.

Sara, THANK YOU, for a good experience. You're a sweetheart! No complaints from this guy!

HOWEVER (you knew it was coming, right.....) I will say, that this could've all been avoided if the Revs would allow us, as Season Ticket Holders, to turn in any unused tickets from the Playoff Strip (OR the Season Ticket Booklet for that matter) for credit for our account next year. This way, I would've bought the Playoff Strip, saved 2 extra trips to Foxboro, and they'd have the money for the 2 tickets of the games that I couldn't attend in the bank for a while to earn interest off. Why they don't do this is beyond me. There needs to be a better system in place.
