A special message for Rapids Season Ticket Holders regarding the July 21 Boca Juniors vs. Chivas match: The Rapids are in in the process of finalizing ticketing details for this match....season ticket holders will be contacted regarding seating for this game, so stay tuned! As always if you have questions regarding your account, please contact your personal account representative at the Rapids Office by calling (303) 825-GOAL. Thanks for your patience, Rapids Front Office
I bet they make you pay the difference since the seats are more expensive. Kroenke has to figure out a way to pay for all of the damage that will be done to the stadium after the crowd downs those 300+ kegs of beer.
My guess is that this will not even count as one of the special tickets - we will just have a first crack at buying tickets for the game. The tickets are much more expensive, and based on my previous experiences at Rapids exhibitions, its a good bet that this came could attract 20,000 to 25,000 just because Chivas will be there...I am guessing they can sell 30,000 to this game without thinking twice....so probably yet another season without exhibitions for us. Which I guess is ok for most casual fans, since the yellow shirted security guards don't bother to actually pretend to be security guards at these games anyway, and let everyone do what they want (smoke, throw garbage, etc), so long as they are not a suburban-looking family with a flag on a stick.
Just talked to my rep as well, and it will be Bonus game A and Lot c parking pass A. No pay difference she said they had already put aside some tix for us full season Ticket holders.
So , do season ticket holders get to exchange these tickets as well for other games? I scheduled my vacation around the games this year and the MLS screwed me over as usual. Anyway, Now the Rapids scheduled another game that week so I just lost 2 games. I'm getting sick and tired of it.

I'm thinking this game will attract more like 50,000 considering the huge Chivas following that seems to exist in Denver (maybe I'm being too optimistic though). I'm trying to convert some non-soccer people (including my dad and my brother) into footy fans..... You would think this match is going to have a much better atmosphere than that average Rapids game.
I dont think this is counted as a Regular and exchangable game. Since it is not an MLS team and the Rapids are just hosting. But I would try and talk to your rep.
You are correct... I cannot exchange the tix. So here it goes... Does anyone want 2 free tickets to the July 21 Boca Juniors vs. Chivas match: I will be out of town so I would like the tickets to be used. Please no scalpers...
Does anyone want to buy a ticket to the game, I'd love to get rid of mine. My argie friend supports River, and Chivas is the worst fvckin' team on the face of the Earth... Maybe I'll drive down just to scalp the the thing...
How can you pass on a game like this? Boca is the #1 rated club team in the world and Chivas has fans like no other. The stadium will be rocking (for a soccer game none the less) and I want to be right in the middle of it.
Chivas is a fvckin' rascist club, and fvck Boca Jr's, How can I pass? Watch me... meaningless game... You know what would mean a lot to me... KSE learning how to walk the teams out at the beginning of the match, I wonder if Boca will get introduced one by one to some Herbie Hancock? KSE telling the facility security to be evenhanded in their policy and not take away flags from children posing no threat to anyone KSE getting a coach that can win playoff matches and not have his talent carry him through to the 8 teams out of 10 playoffs KSE not selling tickets to a lady with 3 kids in the first row of the SUPPORTERS Section only to have her sit them down and share a pizza the whole game, there are plenty of sections for that kind of sh!t. KSE getting the road games on TV, ALL the fvcking games, not one every 2 months. KSE not being so clandestine about their product while they're selling it. I'm running out of breath, and evenings with Sam's Army instead of the Rapids are sounding better and better, regardless of travel...
You must not be a true soccer fan if you sound like that. How is Chivas racist just because they only have Mexican players? I guess the national teams must be racist as well because they can only have players who were born in that country. I guarantee Boca Jr. would beat the U.S. Nats. This is going to be high quality soccer that you don't get the opportunity to see, but maybe once every 5 years here in Denver. How can you be so negative when this is such a good match. This "meaningless" game means a lot to the guys trying to make the team because it is preseason for them.
I'm on the fence about going to this game. I'm not interested in watching players auditioning for their coach. I would like to see how many regulars will play in the game. The teams earned their reputations from players that made the team. It's an exhibition for sure. What isn't known is how much pride will play a role to raise the intensity beyond that of a meaningless ('cept for the $'s) friendly.
I agree..... Y'all are pendejos if you don't go to this match..... It will probably have the best/loudest atmosphere of any footy match that's ever been played in Denver. I'm not bothered at all by the fact that I hardly know anything about Boca or Chivas.
I wouldn't be either if they weren't asking $40 a seat. (I don't like sitting behind the net). But as it turns out ... I'm going anyway. And for the record ... one of the very best game I've seen atmosphere-wise was Rapids vs. Leon. It will always stick in my memory. The other would be US vs Mexico ... But for me ... a great part of watching a game ... is having an interest in cheering for one side or the other. Has NOTHING to do with not being Latino ... if the game was Boca vs Flamengo ... how many do you think would show?
FYI this game is being played as part of a cup competition....the first leg is at the Rose Bowl in LA before ours, so this will be Game 2 of the Cup.
That is good to know. As for me I know that I am going to be sitting in my seats in Section 105 Happy as a clam! Now I don't have to travel to Mexico to see some good soccer!
You call me ignorant with nothing to back it up... Reverend Lovejoy you wanna handle this quote from Lisa Simpson? EXACTLY As for Chivas, last time I checked they weren't a national team, so let's compare the apples with the apples...
