This game can't be any worse than the last. Hopefully, there will be a good-sized and loud crowd tonight; the players deserve it after this season. I'm also hoping the ushers (I didn't even see them last game) actually do their jobs tonight.

It looks like there will be a decent representation from LFR tonight. We'll see.

Deciphering internet context is difficult at times. I'm guessing the usher bit and anyone related to PFC doing their jobs is a joke.

That game was a joke. The ref should quit refereeing if he can't deal with heckling from fans. The Phoenix PD officer that escorted out/arrested Killersheep behaved in manner that gives cops a bad name. I don't know what role Phoenix FC played in what happened, but I think they owe Killersheep and LFR an apology. I can't believe the people who bring their kids to sporting events and then get upset about swearing; They were dumb enough to have kids and I can't have any fun because of it? Why is okay for kids to sit 4 feet from the sideline (and toss balls onto the field during play), but not LFR?

From what I saw, the cop was on duty, unless he wears his uniform off duty. Maybe something else happened after, I don't know.

The officer in question was James Acosta Badge # R1152. I believe he is a reserve officer. You have every right to file a complaint with the City of Phoenix or the Phoenix Police Department if you believe his actions were out of line.

The red card that was issued to Ramos was given because he told the ref, "you hear that chant, that's for you" it was the who's your father chant.
I was approached by James Acosta #R1152 when I came back in at half time and asked if I was the one with the bullhorn. I replied that I was, he then told me I need to remove it and take it to my car, unbeknownst to me someone else had already removed it. I asked if anyone had it, as it wasn't where I left it. He then told me I was trying to incite a riot and asked everyone: "Raise your hand if you want this guy arrested". While I tried explaining I didn't know where the bullhorn was he said I was mouthing off to him and threatened to arrest me again. He then escorted me out and said I had to stand by my car and if I took one step onto the sidewalk I would be arrested for trespassing. At this point a member of LFR called his superior officer to file a complaint. A member of the FO came out and said he was sorry and would see what he could do about it. They came to an agreement that I could go back in at the end of the game so I could give Donny the trophy that I bought. With about 5 minutes left in regulation the officer came out to my car and said "what's your name sir?" I gave him my first name and asked for his badge number. He got very angry and wouldn't let me in because I was "mouthing off" again. After the end of the game his superior officer showed up. I explained to the officer what had transpired and he said he understood and would talk to Mr. Acosta, at which point Mr. Acosta came back blatantly lied about what has transpired and had a little outburst of anger, right in front of his superior. That was basically what happened. The other guy that was kicked out has a heart condition and was physically man handled for using the "F" word.

My complaint to the Phoenix PD:
I'm going to write to the City of Phoenix parks department and Phoenix FC as well.

Did you contact the PD directly or via the complaint form on the city website? Officer Acosta also called me a "moron" for filming him. Unprofessional like I have never seen. One irony is that earlier in the day I commended the Phoenix Police Department as being a solid department (based on my experiences). To think I would encounter Acosta later that night.

    Thank you for your effort.

No, the only "dumb" thing is those 2 sentences. If you really meant such an ignorant statement your a lowclassed idiot. Maybe you were just venting and hopefully didn't seriously mean it.

You can't have fun without swearing in front of kids? Have some class and respect for others. I bring my kids to sporting events and if there's someone constantly swearing I'll tell them my objections, virtually all the time they'll stop. Sometimes others around me will tell them before I get the chance, as most people have enough sense and know how to act in front of kids. A sporting event is for everyone including families remember.

You are reading way too much in to some off the cuff comments. I never said I can't have fun without swearing. Soccer chants and the like make games fun. Some of them get a little risque sometimes. It's not so much they have to have curse words to be fun, but when the referee complains about the chants and people start telling you what you can and can't chant, it is going to create issues like what happened last night. Sort of like the controversy over the YSA chant.

I'm sure you are also respectful when you talk to people at sports events about their swearing. Last night, people were not being respectful. For the most part, I keep what I yell at games clean and positive, with exceptions for bad refs and particularly annoying opposing players and even then its usually clean. I also take part in some of the supporters songs, including a few that might offend people.

I agree that sporting events are for everyone including kids with families, but teams need to do something to separate supporters groups from families with young kids. I also think that teams need to treat everyone equally. Last night the Phoenix PD and the City of Phoenix employees were letting people run amok. They wouldn't get off the field at halftime and probably shouldn't have been there in the first place; they sat feet from the side line putting the player's and their own safety in jeopardy; and they interfered with the game; but the cop, park manager, and ref were more concerned with people heckling the referee.

Interesting that you start calling names of someone you blame for swearing. Tell me what the difference is between calling someone a "lowclassed idiot" and what is said in the stadium.

Thanks Erik, it sounds pretty positive that there will be another season. We'll see how everything goes though. Whatever happens LFR is here to stay.
