this over just doesn't happen in real life, especially given the quality of the bowler compared to the batsmen.....

Trail by 406 runs. (Cook County Cricket Club 603-4 dec)

again my bowlers are sucking it up in the 2nd innings. They are well on their way to scoring more in the 2nd innings as compared to the first.

    End of Over 26 (9 runs). bellissimo cc: 106-0, runrate=4.08 (1st Inn: 178-10)
Trail by 319 runs. (Cook County Cricket Club 603-4 dec)
    Keane 4-0-22-0
    Mohan* 37 (70 balls)
    Johnson 67 (87 balls)

I have decided to tank the first class matches with 11 scrubs and play my starters in the one day games.

I am in joint first in one day and have a chance of promotion.

I was planning to go harder after OD than FC, but finding myself in first in FC near the turn, I figured I might as well go after it, particularly considering I've got no shot at beating out Doobies this season.

As things stand, Peters declared before my bowlers could come up with a third wicket. If my bats can hold up on day 3 (an open question), then Norse will come out of the match ahead on a tiebreak. At this point, I'm not declaring, since my bowlers have shown no inclination to take any wickets and I'm in too big of a hole to offer, say, 40 overs for them to work on Peters. I'll take the draw.

my scrubs took a pounding against the best team in my OD league, highlight of the day was my comp RF getting their $22k p/w star bat out.

Good news is that the plan worked and my better players PFL is at worst energetic, so they are ready for the run home in FC, dont know if they are good enough for div IV in Aus FC yet.

half way through and in 3rd place. happy with that, but I feel the second half the season is going to be a lot tougher. Craig, our series is insane, 4th through 7th are all 3-4

I haven't seen what happened today yet, because my match was over early due to Carib playing GFI (expecting a strong effort from me) and me tanking (to rest most of my players for big FC matches).

i'm surprised by how well I'm doing. bellissimo decided to pick better bowlers and a better batting lineup this time around.

End of Over 46 (4 runs, 1lb). Cook County Cricket Club: 180-0, runrate=3.91
Lead by 43 runs. (bellissimo cc 137-10)
    Weerakkody 10-2-34-0
    Harris* 72 (135 balls)
    Conroy 100 (144 balls)

pretty good days play for me!

End of Over 59 (8 runs). Cook County Cricket Club: 226-0, runrate=3.83
Lead by 89 runs. (bellissimo cc 137-10)
    Dharmasiri 12-2-55-0
    Harris* 90 (178 balls)
    Conroy 126 (180 balls)

Conroy ended the day with a 6. I'd like the run rate to be higher, but hopefully I'll easily get to around 400ish runs and declare and get cracking on some wickets with my bowlers. glad to bowl them out in 50 overs and give me bowlers a bit of a breather.

    Ellington 18-2-63-0
    Conroy* 180 (258 balls)
    Mapie 87 (110 balls)

    Last Wicket: Harris c & b. Hull 103 (FOW: 250/1)

playing the same bot from last week, this time at home.

they are a little better now that their PFL has been set at fresh.

It might just have been the VA tactics of my bats, but lost 3-810 first innings, bowled them for 26, then was 4-530 @ stumps.

    Get the W early today.

    nice work.

    End of Over 28 (13 runs). bellissimo cc: 95-2, runrate=3.39 (1st Inn: 137-10)
Trail by 190 runs. (Cook County Cricket Club 422-1 dec)
    Harris 1-0-13-0
    Mohan* 41 (70 balls)
    Healy 7 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Simms c. Wild b. Keane 22 (FOW: 80/2)

not surprised by my 2nd innings bowling. I love how a player is set to bowl like 5 overs minimum, but the captian pulls him after 2 and he is my best bowler!! strange. oh well, I figure if I can keep them to about 300 runs I'll have enough time to chase down the small target!

Trail by 80 runs. (Cook County Cricket Club 422-1 dec)
    Coetzer 9-4-18-2
    Tindall* 4 (12 balls)
    Jack 7 (24 balls)

I had a great day vs. Peters. We bowled them out for under 200, than ran up a nice total of our own. I'm setting a declaration target for tomorrow but I'll be surprised if my guys reach it, as I'm into the tail now. The bowlers will have most of the day to secure the win, with the forecasted sunny weather the only concern.

wrapped up a win by an innings and 32 runs. bowled them out quickly with only T Rose and Wild bowling. hopefully this means that Coetzer will be sublime for tomorrow's huge ODer against Tythe Barn!

I wound up with a comfortable win vs. Peters and, thus, a comfortable 14-plus point lead over them for second in the series. We trail the #1 by 7 points, but they still have a match against Peters left (the first round was a draw at Peters, which is understandable as they run a flat pitch). Batty Men, the #1, run a cracked pitch, but I have the benefit of a fairly versatile bowling corps with strong performers in both the seamers and the spinners.

In first place, playing second place away.

Screw it I am playing Go For It!!

Healthy total for me so far: 277-3 after 47. Need a good 25-30 runs in the last 3 to make me happy.

Not too bad, 301-3 after 50. Should be a close one now.

Opposition is 43-0 after 10. Steady start for them. I obviously need a wicket or two to slow the rr.
