two quick wickets and I may in the tank on this one. both openers are gone.

i'll be happy with 250, if i can get there. your spinners may tear through my lineup. and at least the batsmen I picked to bowl is medicore. although he does have abysmal consistency. oh joyous me.

282 was going to be tough to chase under any circumstances, and it's going to be impossible with Sarge out cheaply. Nobody else scores quickly enough.

I wound up winning with an over and change to spare. Looks like the declaration was timed just right. Considering the final margin, I probably could have declared at about 250 and won comfortably.

    wow, great timing!

i hope Black doesn't get shelled for 10 an over, that was an expensive last over

    End of Over 23: 97-2, runrate=4.22, reqrunrate=6.89 (282-4)
    Black 2-0-20-0
    Ritchie* 34 (37 balls)
    Clairmonte 35 (69 balls)

Coetzer just got shelled in that last over and Black is going to get shelacked. i could use a few more wickets now....

i don't think bowling an actual bowler instead of Black would've helped at this point. my spinner just got murdered!

god my team is tanking. guess Wild decided to not take wickets.

and no way Black gives up less then 10 an over his second time around.

    CRAP. i blew this one.

i can't even follow the end of it. like 1 run from the RRR and a batsmen bowling.

I had no expectation of my non-Sarge bats being able to stick that long.

And I disagree with you about the impact of Black. I probably got about 30 extra runs off of him (at minimum), and he never had a chance at taking a wicket. Even with the late charge, it's going to be a close win, so a real bowler there absolutely would have made a difference in the outcome.

the one who was supposed to bowl is only respectable/competent

shameful bowling from T Rose  he needs to get his ass in gear this season

Respectable/competent wouldn't have posted an economy rate of 10.3. I'd figure at worst it would have been 6 to 7. At an economy rate of 7, he would have been 28 runs better than Black on innings performed.

(I find it remarkable that my bowler with abysmal bowling form had the best economy rate of any of my bowlers.)

just tell me i'm right ;)

i'm trying to justify my boneheaded move!!

Rose is way better then his stats indicate. i think i'm in for a looooooong season.

Got slaughtered against a team who has always done that to me.

My bowlers just cant perform on green pitches against decent opposition.

Going to GFI in the cup tomorrow, the pitch will be dusty (he has no spinners but those 2 amazing FM's) & the weather should be humid.

If I make 50 runs it will be a bit of a shock. No guts no glory I say :)
