1. Coach had no answer before the game started. Matheus Reis?! Marcus Edwards?! Kovacevic?! This is footballing terrorism. Game was over before it started. 2. Because of the poor starting 11, all Santa Clara had to do was score once and the game was over once they parked the bus 3. Santa Clara is especially difficult to play when ref is riding their dicks like a Benfica socio. Clear PK disallowed. 4. Regardless, team seems to have completely forgotten how to play and break teams down. JP is not the answer. Varandas is a fucking dipshit for even hiring him though.
You mean the dude who makes like €15 million a year and is one of the highest paid coaches? Good luck. Not happening.
Vitoria doesn't work without the colinho. Same with Lage, etc. He's not gonna get the colinho at SCP.
The more I think about it the more Conceicao makes sense. He's probably, tactically at least, the best Portuguese coach right now. What he did with those utter shit Porto squads was very impressive. He's a Sporting fan. He's not afraid to speak, which, when your president is afraid to, is in important factor. And it would be hilarious to see him win the league with Sporting. I've always thought he would be at top club if he wasn't such a huge asshole.
Your not wrong , I would have preferred him at Benfica rather than what we have , presidents fear his big mouth though

Amorim talking about why he didn't stay at Benfica is pretty interesting. It shows why he's been so successful and shows why JP probably won't be. Taking risks to understand and feel what its like to be head coach, develop your own system, be in control, etc vs failing upwards and kinda sorta keeping your predecessors tactics but "with a twist" to make it "your own" https://www.footboom1.com/en/news/f...idn-t-coach-benfica-because-he-lacked-control
Moreirense vs Sporting starting now. Some surprise changes as Braganca seems to be up front on the left, Matheus Reis on the left wing back
Oh great a goal keeping error...... Just like in the Super Cup. He HAS to be dropped for Isreal after this game. If anyone questions what Managers and coaches do, well look at this collapse
This has got to be the final straw. Cute story and all, promoting a former player with no experience to take over and continue Amorim's style, but you can't take an undefeated team to three straight loses and keep your job.
