Thanks for getting the post up so early so early. Seems like a bit of a trap game, our players mostly on international break while Eibar's mostly are not and are well rested and prepping for this big home game. Plus we may have one eye on El Clasico just after this game. And we have some injuries (too soon to know if Alba, Junior Firpo, or Umtiti might be back, and I'm forgetting someone else I think, but Fati is back to health at least), and now suspensions too (Dembele, Araujo, maybe Pique with a 5th yellow?)
Though a lot of our key players didn't play in this int'l break. And FdJ last played Sunday so lots of time before this match (will be relatively rested compared to Busquets). Unfortunately, Arthur is now part of the Brazilian globe-trotters and is coming back from Singapore.
^ And Busquets rested (on the bench) in Spain's match in Sweden. So the MFers Busquets, FdJ, Rakitic and Roberto are well rested. While Arthur and Vidal could be a bit fatigued.
Great news: Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde has named his 22-man squad that will travel to the Basque Country to take on Eibar on Saturday. Included in the squad are Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo and Jordi Alba, despite the first two not having received the necessary medical discharge, although they will most likely receive this on Friday. Due to the current protests in Barcelona and Catalonia, the Blaugrana will travel to Vitoria on Thursday night and then have a behind closed doors training session at Alaves' training ground on Friday morning. It is also worth noting that Barcelona will be without the suspended duo of Gerard Pique and Ousmane Dembele for the match at Ipurua. Barcelona's squad list is as follows: Goalkeepers: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Neto, Arnau Tenas. Defenders: Nelson Semedo, Jean-Clair Todibo, Clement Lenglet, Moussa Wague, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo. Midfielders: Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Arthur Melo, Carles Alena, Frenkie de Jong, Arturo Vidal. Forwards: Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Carles Perez, Ansu Fati
S. Roberto starting ahead of Semedo... Ter Stegen Sergi Roberto, Umtiti, Lenglet, Jordi Alba De Jong, Sergio Busquets, Arthur Messi, Suárez y Griezmann
Who made the game this early ? Looking at the goals, looks like Eibar were pretty poor. But 3 points is 3 points. Specially away.
