Well, in my area anyway, a lot has been made of the 'national importance' of the Thune-Johnson senate race (in SD) to both parties. My question is, does anyone outside the midwest actually give a crap? Or is it just more of the same midwestern propaganda and the local news media trying to make us feel important?

    1. Every Senate race is important with the Senate so tight.
    2. The Reeps are trying to embarass Daschle.

This race was seen as a proxy election between Daschle and Bush, so yeah, people outside the midwest are interested. Especially since the fate of the Senate is so undecided.
