Per MLSNET, LAG is going to scrimmage against Cal-Poly at the Rose Bowl this saturday, Feb. 8. Anyone know if this is open to the public?
This girl on my high school team, her brother is the goalie on Cal Poly so she is going and she asked me to go but I don't know if you have to have a person you know there or what.
LAG press release says the scrimmage is 10:00 AM - it does not address whether it is open to the public. But - a 10:00 AM scrimmage puts it directly opposite the USMNT v. Argie game - Oh the old "club or country" issue rises again.
For what its worth, I talked to my ticket rep, and the scrimmage Saturday is not open to the public. That's not to say an enterprising fan couldn't figure out a way to get in to the Rose Bowl to see it, but we are not "officially" welcome at the scrimmage. I suspect Cal Poly will bring some friends and family, so you may be able to slip through, but be warned.
