This had me shook. https://www.instagram.com/p/DZDl8RfkvR6/?img_index=1&igsh=cWpxeHBuM2J0M2Jh Tim Ream is 2 years older than Freddy Adu.
Maybe hes referring to this? https://prosoccerwire.usatoday.com/...-of-racism-prior-to-theft-arrest/77442049007/ seems like a stretch
Yeah, there was a podcast flurry around it too. He kept doubling down on the abject racism he suffered through. He positioned himself with the stance that it was an evident crime against his race because the $5 shot was too low of a crime to involve police (if he were white) and that the white folks owed him respect because he represents the city. At the end of the day, I think his PR crew snapped his head around -- he paid $150 fine and stopped talking about it. Instead of a drunk asshole stealing shit while trying to be funny, it was race baiting at its finest.
Turns out when Glasner was saying Richards had torn ligaments, he wasn't kidding (sprains are partially torn ligaments/muscles anyway). https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...s-richards-injury-mauricio-pochettino-germany Real concern Richards won't be fit for the WC opener, maybe longer. Poch says Crystal Palace wasn't truthful about the injury. We couldn't have someone email over a MRI or something? USSF doesn't have someone on staff that knows about this shit? Poch made it sound like he might not have called him up if he knew how severe the injury is. I'm shocked that a dude with torn ligaments needs more than a couple weeks to recover. Shocked I tell you.
The 1994 US World Cup team is being recognized in Chicago. They're wearing the current "Stripes" jersey with their names and numbers on the back. We didn't get to see the entire team on TV, but we had a Mike Lapper sighting. The game kicks off at 2:30 on TNT, TruTV, HBO Max and a bunch of Spanish-language outlets. The US women kick off vs Brazil at 5:30 on the same options. It's a great day to be a US soccer fan.
Freese just standing there, he could have easily knocked it away if he wasn’t doing his best Schulte impression
Despite giving up and early set piece goal and a bit of sustained pressure from Germany for 15 minutes after it. We looked pretty good the rest of the way.
Turner has been much better than freeze this season. Shocking that Turner isn't starting since he's finally in form.
Looked good. Bit unlucky on the second goal. The press and focus has been top notch. The players and crowd are up for this game.
Robinson closed out way too slow and there was too much space between him and Sane. Guy sucks, he’s been at fault for both goals and should have never made the roster.
I feel like the player bore some responsibility to share this with the staff, he has to have a real understanding of his condition.
Holy sh!t. This cannot be for real, can it?? https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https://preview.redd.it/dont-stay-silent-when-you-see-things-like-this-in-the-v0-i6clkwzfpv5h1.png?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=3d032d63f67e4e364e5a3e204dc2dedc99f7a300
It's real I saw it on the broadcast it was definitely real. I heard an unsubstantiated rumor that he was removed from the game.
Richards was a full participant in training today and is looking good to go for this Friday. Nothing in the link you posted suggests he actually tore any ligaments. It appears he had sprained his ankle, but that it was maybe a bit of a worse sprain than what Poch was led to believe. Regardless, he never fully ruptured his tendons. He wouldn't have been on the bench for Palace a few weeks ago and he wouldn't be in full training today if that were the case. Ankle sprains can be very tricky and can easily reoccur if you don't allow them to heal and re-strengthen enough. My guess is he would have been able to play against Germany if it was meaningful WC game, but they wanted to give him as much time as possible to strengthen it again so he can stay healthy through the tournament. USMNT defender Chris Richards is a full participant in base camp practice today. Leave Thursday at 7a for the adventure. CMH-LAX-DFW-PHL-SEA-CMH-LAX-CMH over the next two weeks and then hopefully travels to a knock-out game after.
Ordered USMNT Pulisic jersey from dhgate on May 26th for $20 and it came today in just a hair over two weeks. Though I'd be lucky to wear it around the 4th of July and now can rock it this Friday and next week in Seattle. Let's f'ing go folks.
Isnt that the Episcopalian Cross? I find it worse that we wore Pride Jerseys on the 82 anniversary of D-Day while playing Germany.
