Ive seen the star kit described as a USWNT exclusive. And this says the usmnt will wear the same old white kit.
I like the heartbeat kits too. I could do without the flowery language, because that sounds like a bunch of gobbledygook that you could literally use to describe any jersey, but I digress. I actually like the greyscale pattern one too, but it's similar enough to the Crew's Inaugural Stadium Kit, which I already have one of.
There was a time several years ago when it was more or less unofficially decreed that everything need explanations for the representation. You can't just have "The 2025/26 blue kit" oh no. The blue stripes and the white lines all have deep symbolic meaning. Or something.
If you are an AO, Sammers or Barra member, ticket link for section 127 should be in your email. Looks like tickets are ~$40.
Ledge tickets are ~$100. That might have been tempting if I didn't jump on a Sammer's ticket last night.
@Hamburgler03 Assuming there's gonna be a NB4 party, Ohio Brewing would be a heck of a place. 421 East 2nd Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43201 https://ohiobrewingcolumbus.com/ The website says they close at 10 on Sundays, but maybe they could be convinced to stay open later.
They have everything we need! Parking, easy Uber/Lyft access, enough space indoors, a nice big patio, etc etc... Anything I can do, let me know. (If I knew any of the staff, I'd make it happen by the end of the week.) Although with the last place we went to being closed.. jinx? Of course there's plenty of other places too. We certainly don't have to go there. Now if we were looking for something next-level, and I have some inspiration here from another group, we could do some sort of fundraiser/silent auction/raffle during the NB4 party. The beneficiary would be the local youth/grassroots soccer community of wherever the game is the next day. Hundreds, potentially thousands of outsiders coming together to raise money for the youth/grassroots soccer scene would definitely make an impact. It takes a heck of a lot of work to start the movement though.
The Preliminary Gold Cup roster. The final 26 must be named by June 4th. There are two friendlies after the final rosters are set: June 7th vs Turkey and June 10th vs Switzerland.
I used to be a pretty good programmer on a TRS-80 back in the day. I wrote a game involving guessing random numbers that had several variants that actually had my parents investigating copyright law. Some of the games on that system were actually pretty good, considering the era.
What's a bit crazy is some of the stuff out there that still uses older systems. Back in about 2017, COSI closed an exhibit which used Windows 98 or XP, IIRC. One of their occasional activities used Windows Vista. I'm sure there's more stuff out there that uses stuff pre-Win 10 than what we realize. Then there's Voyager, still plugging along...
Is today's squad just for the Turkey and Switzerland games, or are we expecting the exact same folks to be called up for the Gold Cup too?
