All of them in the case of the Nations League. You can decide what level of input USSF has on site selection and schedule for the Gold Cup. I happen to believe US Soccer is pretty influential in deciding which smaller venues get picked for hosting group stage games.
A lot of the choices outside of nations league also depend on the visiting team. Hartford has been chosen twice due to its proximity to the east coast and the facilities around it. Japan may have chosen columbus as it wants to scout it out as a basecamp for the world cup.
You really don't think that Dong Garble, and MLS, are involved in the USMNT stadium selections? Most of them just magically happen to be MLS's shiniest, newest toys.
Since the Gregg 2.0 era, in Friendly and Nations League group/nonfinal matches through September, there have been 2 games at Q2 (Austin) 2 at Geodis (Nashville) 2 at Energizer (St. Louis) 2 at Hartford 1 at Orlando City 1 at UCF in Orlando 1 at Inter miami 1 at Children's Mercy (KC) 1 at TQL (Cincy) 1 at LDC 1 at Allianz 1 in Harrison 1 at FedEx (Commandos) 1 at Toyota Stadium (USL San Antonio) 8/18 games have been or will be at those shiny toys. 4 have been in football stadiums. The rest have been in precovid built stadiums or the erector set of Miami. The Athletic and other reporters have said Gregg made a lot of the selections based on facilities he felt comfortable with. Hartford was the choice as Germany wanted to scout the area and didnt want to add any more travel time. Other location choices are often made due to Mexico often squaring off against the same opponent, so everyone wants to minimize travel time. And we know from IM that USSF negotiate leases with these sites to see who will cut the best deals. Precourt might be only feeding off scraps and leasing out Q2 for a cut rate deal
New kits. I'm feeling the white/light kit. I like the star dealies and the vibrant trim is *Borat voice* very nice. The "Heartbeat" jersey is meh for me. There's also this, which makes me chuckle: Kinda in love with the anthem jacket: GIVE IT TO ME. AND THE JEANS.
That wasnt the case for WCQ. I imagine we might get higher priority, but its not a first access to your own seat thing.
STM's for the Crew and Browns get in after the paid members of US Soccer's groups. There are three paid memberships there I think. I can't recall if Browns STM's got in previous sales at the same time as Crew STM's, but they could take up a good amount if they wanted. A conservative estimate are there are 57K or more STM's for the Browns. I am not sure there is a large or significant number of Browns STM's that would be coming down to LDC for a USMNT friendly, but the possibility is there. So long story short, it is highly likely that Crew STM's would get a change to buy tickets if desired. No idea on price points though. From memory last time we played against El Salvador at LDC in 2022 for a qualifier, it barely sold out, but was in January.
I'll also add the STM code is generic so it might be able to be used by regular fans if they are not tying it to your STM account. That could impact availability.
Officially, the supporters section (AO/Sammers/Barra) is section 127 and those tickets will go on sale ~5p tonight. From what I can see on the ticketmaster site, Nordecke will be assigned seats (not general admission).
I mean, I kinda like the pinstripe idea, it's different, but it just doesn't work that great. But the white... giving me '94 denim vibes, and I possibly love it more than I've ever loved a US Soccer shirt
They are going to be available for the men's and women's teams. One with a lot of stars, the other with no stars.
Yeah, I'm sure printing a bunch up without the stars would be manageable. The only reason I asked was because they didn't have any men modeling the jerseys, so it begged the question. Usually they find a way to have both.
