Did you see those South Africans?! I wonder if we could afford any of them.

Heck yeah, they just beat Mexico.
Thats got to count for props if anything.

    Humble Mexican pie.
(of course they could say the same as us if Cuba beat us)

Any one S. African stand out?

So I just finished watching the Guat-Jam match.

RSL would be fools to sign Cabrera if that was anything to go by--partly responsible for the first goal, wholly responsible for a foolish foul in the box for the third goal (PK). He fouled a guy with his back to goal, 17 yards out, who was losing the ball. Duh.

The man he fouled, Shelton, was the standout player of the match for Jamaica. Enormous pace in scoring the first goal. Plays for Harborview, but for how much longer? Plenty of MLS teams could use him.

RSL needs goals and badly needs speed up top--I recommend they sign Shelton, getting the extra bonus that he and Andy Williams are used to playing together. There, now I'm a scout! :D

South Africa's Lebohang Mokoena #9 looked to be a good pickup.

I wonder if anyone could lure that Pescadito cat on Guatemala to MLS. Three quality strikes. :)

Olivier Occean (Canada) was drafted by the Metrostars in 2004. Either the Metrostars or MLS refused to sign him for more than the minimum although the Metrostars wanted to sign him. He signed with a team in Norway. He scored 14 goals, third best in the league.

Now either MLS screwed the Metros or the Metros did it to themselves, but this is one good player that got away.

MLS wouldn't allow Bob to spend what he wanted and he was pissed about it.

    Thanks Ivan!!!!

Jamaica's Hue needs to be in MLS yesterday--good attacking midfielder with a wicked shot. Golazos in back-to-back games.

Two cubans defected today--names to be revealed tonight.

Ty Marshall got hurt pretty seriously (carted off holding his left thigh). I'd be surprised to see him back for Gold Cup action.

Even though I didn't watch the game against Cuba, from what I understand Lestor More (the goal scorer against the USA) and Odellin Molina (the goalkeeper who looked like a fool in the highlights I saw) are Cuba's two best players. However, look at the last two big Cubans we got: Rey Angel Martinez and Alberto Delgado.
