thought i'd make a thread for the sfl, covering all the leagues. spl has one, so i figured why not, right? not as many sfl fans on here anyway, so we might as well just have one thread for all 3 leagues.:)

Good thinking - even though I may be an American Celtic fan, I am very interested in the doings on with the rest of Scottish football. Unfortunately there is never any video, or even audio, coverage of non-SPL matches. :(

My favorite non-SPL team is Fort William! :D In the SFL, if I had to pick a favorite, I would say Stranraer. I'm a sucker for geographical extremes. And the town is a cool combination between being a quiet town (at least from what I understand) and one that has a lot of traffic through it to and from Northern Ireland. And it really is amazing how much Stranraer FC bounces up and down the SFL ranks (2008-09 will be its seventh in a row playing in a different division than the year before).

Nah, the joke's still on them.:D

If they can become the first non-league side ever to knock us out the cup, fair enough, but until then.........

My mate has been a season ticket holder at Airdrie for years they have assured me that there is nothing surer than the diamonds getting relegated this year.

morton beat carlton 9-0 in the renfrewshire cup semi final yesterday. this comes after some less than impressive friendly results.
morton also played rangers in a closed door friendly today, 3-1 rangers.

Are carlton a full time side? Both those matches show the hugh gaps between talent and skill lvl in Scottish football.

A couple of pretty wild predictions there.:D

    1st: Dundee
    2nd: East Fife
    3rd: Dumbarton
    CC: Queen of the South

I think the 2nd division will be the tightest league. Tonight is the first time I've actually thought that we will win it. I'd thought that Ayr would be the team to beat this year but after signing Crawford, coupled with a pretty excellent performance against an admittedly young Hamilton team tonight, I think we can do it.

    thank you. :p

Jamie will be out to prove a point and will take them to the top of the table.

as for the third division, i have no idea who could win it. was going to go for East Stirling at one point...

They wouldnt be a bad prediction. They've made some really good signings. I don't think they'll be much to separate Dumbarton, Shire, Montrose, Stenny and possibley Berwick.
