Plug Clint in where Torres was, Torres to Jones spot, Jones to Edu's. Clint's made for that pinched in left wing. Jozy plugs for Boyd, and I'm sure that will be better, but not sure by how much. The kid is a handful. Needs to work on the touches a bit.

Tonight, our uniforms were godawful...... like our's was the team from District 11 ...

But the way we played? The best I've seen since the first half against Brazil in the final of the Confederations Cup, and the most commanding in the midfield since the golden days of Reyna and O'Brien. Now....to sustain it!

It's hilarious that Scotland fans were actually talking trash before the game.

I tuned into this game in the second half due to a DVR screwup. Boy am I sorry I missed the whole game. I don't think I've ever seen us bring this much offensive flow against a good team. Specifically, have we ever scored this many goals against a European side? Anyway, psyched to see if we can keep this form going.

Wonderful game by the midfield, especially Bradley and Jones. Donovan was fantastic and was the creator of the vast majority of chance out there, made something happen with a huge percentage of his touches. Torres was solid. Edu did his job. The defense had too little to do to say much about, but nice to have solid fullbacks which helped going forward.

Did he figure it out or did the players. He's been talking about having multiple 8 for a while. This doesn't prove anything against the elite but it looks like we should have an easy time against Concacaf opposition.

Bradley has improved tremendously. I always rated him as a starter but he's taken his game to the next level.

Disappointing performance from Scotland, I expected them to give the USA a much tougher game.

There's no problame with that if a midfielder takes the left back role temporarily while the others are out of position.

That's what good defensive mids do.

We were unbelievably good. Truly, best I've seen us in years. Still a little in shock at how skillfully we moved the ball around with purpose. Bradley, JJ, Donovan, JFT..they were just great.

Having said that, we shouldn't read too much into this. But as a one off performance, we looked very good.

Qualifying will be very difficult again this cycle..so let's hope we can keep this up.

Against Brazil, I'd like to see Donovan and Dempsey play wide, play Torres underneath, and ask Jones to stay deep. We're doing to need D out of our wide players against Brazil.

We don't think of Scotland that highly. This was a nice win against a country that does not qualify for the World Cup.

I think Bradley was very good, along with Jones, LD and Torres. But "the best performance in a decade" is hyperbole.

To be fair, this was a shadow Scotland side...but you can't use that as an excuse. The americans were rampant (and should have scored more).

No one does, it usually works in their favour. They stay tight and compact while defending then break up the park very quickly, quite like the way the USA played tonight. The tag of "underdog" usually goes with, and helps the Scots.

It's possible, but his passing was incredible - and often went un noticed by the commentors. The last goal (Jones) was mostly Michael Bradley, and he started it in his own, with an incredible 25 yard ball that was dropped on a dime. Not to compare him to Xavi, but it's very similar in impact to this match. The hidden link.

Calm down. We're used to sweating out wins vs. El Salvador.
