It shouldn't affect us if the latest report from skysports is anything to go by, Zola has personally told Duxbury that he is fully commited to his role as manager at the club, and has no intention of leaving.

Maybe Chelsea will appoint Glenn Roeder, I hear he's looking for a job!

...and I don't think GZ's the type who will bolt for either a bigger paychq or a bigger transfer kitty, as he seems to get his enjoyment out of actually coaching players to improvements rather than buying them. he's a natural teacher at a club known for its outstanding Academy. Seems like he could be onto a good thing if he sticks around.

As for the west london wannabe's, I think the Russian mobster should appoint old 'arry. He'd jump at the chance, because firstly it will offer bigger transfer "payments" and secondly they're a bigger club than Tottenham and he's "always wanted to manage a top club"... :D

Any truth in the rumor that Chelski are only going to offer managers 6 month contracts from now on?

This is the news I have been dreading because I have suspected that Zola would have one eye on a move to Chelsea. Glad to see he has turned it down though.

I would love to see Harry go to Chelsea now. Not only would Spurms suffer from losing their manager so late in the season but Harry's style just wouldn't work with that dictating Russian board above him trying to run things. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians. It would be like killing two birds without us even throwing one stone!! :D

To me this whole issue just highlights the problems surrounding not only English football but football in general. Chelsea are currently 4th in the league, only 7 points behind the leaders.........how many other clubs would love to be in their position. Yet you have an owner who wants immediate gratification and will interfere in the running of the club to get a result. Too many Managers are being cut adrift without fair opportunity...Ince, Adams etc. Then you have the issues surrounding limitation of imports and salary caps being rejected out of hand because the big boys don't know how else to win........whatever happened to developing talent?

Until things change and the FA or FIFA take hold of the game by the scruff of the neck we are going to see the ongoing destruction of the game into a rich man's plaything.
