Canada (16) : @ Honduras, US, @ El Salvador, @ CR, Jamaica, @ Panama USMNT (15): El Salvador, @ Canada, Honduras, @ Mexico, Panama, @ CR Mexico (14): @ Jamaica , CR, Panama, US, @ Honduras, El Salvador Panama (14): @CR, Jamaica, @ Mexico, Honduras, @ US, Canada We def can expect a slog. Mexico, on paper, have the easiest road. Lots of games on the road for Canada also and for the US, they have 2 very tough games on the road also. Panama's schedule might be the harshest (again in theory). We shall see...
That is a rough road for Panama. I'm not sure they can keep this up. We shall see though. Anything can happen in CONCACAF.

I saw Ravel came on for Jamaica. I am happy for him. Jamaica must beat Panama in Panama to have any chance of closing in on 4th.
Mexico, at Panama, Costa Rica, vs Salvador, at Canada vs Honduras That's Jamaica's remaining slate. If they hadn't started so poorly, this might have been way more manageable. Margin of error now is pretty much down to zero at this point.
Adekugbe's leap into the snow pile is just awesome! Absolute scenes in Edmonton 🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/InL4sSeNFM— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) November 17, 2021 The temp at kickoff was 14 degrees F (with 5 degree wind chill). Brrrr....
Would be nice if Panama dropped a few points. I say this as objectively as possible, but Canada looks legitimately good. Big tests coming up with tricky away fixtures and the home match against the U.S. If they get through the next two fixtures with four points then I think they're as good as in.
The US was getting bullied at times yesterday. It would be nice if we found someone who could slot in when it was necessary to get stuck in and push some people around.
Someone help me understand why players like Roldan/Lletget/Acosta are regulars over the likes of someone like Cardoso or De La Torre or Julian Green. Similar story with the likes of Vickers and Miazga. They are playing regularly but cannot get a sniff.
De La Torre is really the only glaring admission, in my opinion. Dude is the perfect alternative to Musah. No idea what he has to do to get a game. Johnny looked promising for a little while at Internacional but hasn't really gotten a sniff these last 18 months. He needs to find a new team. Julian Green is meh. In terms of CB's, the depth chart looks something like this to me: 1. M. Robinson/Brooks (when in form) 2. Richards 3. Zimmerman 4. McKenzie 5. Miazga/CCV 6. Sands Sands gets the nod ahead of Miazga and CCV because of his versatility and ability to slot into midfield. I'd probably try to bring those two into the next camp though, especially if Zimmerman will be in his offseason.
Not only that but those two windows in January and March playing 3 games in 6 days including travel will be nightmarish for all the teams. It really is a crapshoot at this stage. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of US or Mexico doesn’t make the top 3.
No doubt that the overall squad fitness for the US will be key. The pool is deeper than it's ever been and that's a good thing, in the sense that it allows the team to get by, even if there are some key players missing. But in those 2 final and decisive rounds, getting by might not be enough to get it done. We've clearly seen in those recent sets of games where we've dropped points because there were some crucial players missing. Fit/healthy and with pretty much everyone to call upon, thus allowing Berhalter to rotate and deal with the close games in proximity (plus the travel), I'm confident that the US will get one of the outright spots. Not going to be necessarily easy for anyone in the current top 4 though.
Unsurprisingly, the cash will not be drying out anytime soon for Prem clubs. Premier League have agreed a $2.7bn six-year deal with NBC to continue broadcast agreement in USA to 2028. More than double previous deal. Big numbers, helped, PL believe, by rolling over domestic contracts with Sky, BT, Amazon and BBC, for same amounts as before.— Simon Stone (@sistoney67) November 18, 2021
Some of you guys talk utter shit, Norwich played 11 won 1. How the ******** is that good enough to stay up? And what money? Money compared to who?
Turns out Jose wasn't just being Jose at Spurs. Conte is calling out Ndombele now for not working hard enough.
Bayern vs. Barcelona in the Champions League on December 8th will be played without fans due to COVID-19 restrictions in Bavaria pic.twitter.com/OCcHniIS4i— B/R Football (@brfootball) November 19, 2021 KdB is sidelined also having contracted Covid as well.
Norwich are up against it, but they are in more capable hands now and even if they go down, I can see them coming back the season after and building something. It wasn't that long ago they were beating the likes of Bayern Munich. Wanderers' man? I almost hate to bring it up, but that game with non-league Stockport is why I love the FA Cup.
OFFICIAL: Eddie Howe has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be absent for his first Newcastle match in charge. pic.twitter.com/exJlDlxE37— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) November 19, 2021 Not the debut Howe (and Newcastle) was hoping for.
There was only so much Farke could achieve with Norwich. They did impress in the EPL at times, but in the bigger frame of things he couldn't sort out Norwich enough to secure their survival the first time and now again this time. Smith probably has more of what it takes to succeed in the EPL. He did well at Villa; won promotion, survived, and achieved some memorable results in the EPL.
