Awful set-piece when it mattered. Saw bits here and there. Not a classic. Rodri got skinned inside the box by Palmer early. A lot of miles on his legs and it's showing. City depend on him too much.
I only saw the last 15 minutes and highlights, but how the ******** was Chelsea not given a penalty for the Grealish handball in the wall off the Chelsea free kick. It’s clear he jumps, sees the ball going low, and drops his arms to block it. VAR keep outdoing themselves.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...-of-being-a-luton-fan-after-defeat-at-everton this is how silly it's becoming now
Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given - which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options.— Nottingham Forest (@NFFC) April 21, 2024 The Prem will be flashing fines at Forest in a matter of hours. Man Cheaters meanwhile...
i like that gif a lot. thanks for that. in other news, this time Leverkusen scored @ 96:56 to remain unbeaten. it must be meant to be
https://www.skysports.com/football/...nburg-should-step-down-after-forest-statement you may recall Forest hired him as some sort of ref / VAR consultant (still not sure what value that adds). so now this is referee on referee violence and they don't even try to defend their own. magnificent. (isn't this basically what rapinoe did with men in women's sport?)
https://www.skysports.com/football/...to-privately-hear-var-audio-from-everton-loss too much shame this season?
If any of you watch rugby, the refs are micd up and I think football should do the same. It will also go a long way to have pros stop bitching, swearing and moaning at the ref.
maybe they thought they'd outrun the old legs? on that, credit to Inter for winning despite signing so many 30+ players. it's partially down to others falling flat but Inter were good regardless. i thought it was madness but they've done it. thought they'd have gotten past Atlético but can't criticise them too much beyond that
that should be two stars above the Inter crest next season as well. wish they had kept the old crest. all of the redesigns of crests recently have been garbage. i can't think of one i remotely like
Rice almost made it 6-0 for Arsenal against Chelsea. They still look like scoring more. 7 added minutes coming. edit: nvm Arsenal phone it in for the last bit. lol at Chelsea.
Does anyone know how to get tickets for the FA Cup final? I live in the US but happen to be in London on May 25 and would LOVE to go to the game!
Interesting. But of a gamble. I like Slot, just not sure how well he'd transition. It's a huge step up.
It is a big step but if any team is built for the high intensity pressing style of play that slot plays it's probably Liverpool. Liverpool are financially sound and well administrated. They are a big club in a competitive league and that will be the difference. Thoughts @feyenoordsoccerfan ?
This is a United thread, so a comparison with ten Hag could be of interest. At Ajax ten Hag built on the core foundation of the Ajax play philosophy with quality players available. Slot on the other hand managed to implement a complete metamorphosis of the style of play and realized that and continue to do so after a huge number of players left last summer. Here's what was said about Feyenoord by Sarri: "La vittoria sul Feyenoord? ...". (ANSA "The win over Feyenoord? We suffered and defended well against an opponent who is currently a war machine, with a lot of dribbling. This win keeps us in the fight for qualification." These are the words of Maurizio Sarri, Lazio coach, in his press conference after the 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Champions League. "My feeling is that in the last 25 minutes they left us grasslands, if we had been more lucid we could have hurt them more," Sarri continued. ." (ANSA So, if Slot moves to Liverpool, he hasnot got to waste time and effort to implement his style of play. The question will be if the players accept him and his fanatical approach of the game, his incessant drive for details in training and in matches. Ten Hag moved to ManUnited with what kind of expectations towards him? Implement a different style, compared to what has been done the last few seasons before he came in? Better defending? What expectations did ten Hag meet?
Everton beating Liverpool. Klopp looked absolutely manic from the short comp at the break Sky Sports had of his various reactions.
Hope this kills their title chances off and the finish with just the League Cup after predicting a quadruple
