Liverpool, Bayern and Real Madrid will all be looking for a coach at the end of the season. Actually Barca too. Will be interesting who emerges. Tuchel may end up Pool or may be done. Will be interesting to see if guys like Slot, Di Zebri or Clement get poached.
I'm still not really sure who we'd get that's a better option. I consider all the clubs looking for managers as better options than United. Would anyone here take Xavi?
anyone who can successfully establish a style or some patterns would be better at this moment. no to Xavi, if Solskjær wasn't qualified then Xavi isn't either. the manager pool isn't so great at the moment
I reckon if EtH gets CL Ineos will keep him, if not say hello to Graham Potter Ashur was high on Tuchel & Poch - both similarly over-hyped under-achievers imo. Hope ‘pool end up with Tuchel
We look a little too off the pace to nab top four (a graphic from the weekend on Sky Sport gave us a 10% chance). The fact we are trying to hire Ashworth gives a lot of credence to those Potter rumors.
there is potentially top 5 if England gets the extra CL spot. i also don't see it myself as i mentioned earlier with the PPG we'd need to gain on the other contenders. that said, if our current form and theirs extrapolates to the end of the season... ten Hag may actually get his stay of execution
Poch has always been overhyped and is literally a serial loser. It took him two seasons to win Ligue 1 with PSG which should tell you everything you need to know about him. Tuchel I thought was excellent until his final season at Chelsea and it's been all downhill from there. He was good at Mainz, Dortmund, PSGs best manager since they got rich, and won the CL with a bang average Chelsea team. I haven't watched enough Bayern to know what's going wrong there but given Mullers comments he seems to have lose that dressing room. I still think he's a decent manager.
Bayern has too much player power because the admin is a den of vipers and players go over the coach. Happened last year so they got rid of Kahn and the other guy with the Slavic Sic name. Now new management but same problem. What could be the coincidence?
Didn't Tuchel have a mid-life crisis in that final season at Chelsea? I think that was around the time he dumped the wife for a younger Brazilian and began driving a Ferrari.
I don't know if it was that. I know Boehle took over and demanded weekly meetings to understand football and why he couldn't just go sign Ronaldo and fix everything.
