When the schedule came out I wondered why they hadn't scheduled it for saturday instead. It's nice to see that a schedule change for once favors the fans. Now if they can change those summer afternoon games to night games.

Maybe I'm reading into this change too much, but with regards to that 18th of October match, don't you think it's odd they moved kickoff back just 30 minutes this far ahead of time?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but an 8 pm Saturday start for a match is about right if, say, you were going to have a twi-night doubleheader with the first match kicking off at 6.

Didn't we also have a number of 8 pm weekend matches at Soldier Field in the past?

Again, maybe I'm reading into it, but it does seem odd.

It's either that or a tv reason. It's odd they have 3 october saturday night games in a row but the're only changing the time on one of them.

  6. Remember, there's a decent chance those October games will be in SF.

I called in and after welcoming him to Chicago, asked Dave if he favored any particular formation 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 and he said he would rather see what players he had and gear tactics and formations to the players rather than try to fit them to any formation.
When asked about the field in Naperville he diplomatically said soccer players could play anywhere, grass, artificial turf, a parking lot but he was glad they weren't playing in a parking lot.He said he always felt armas was the heart of the team. He also explained he was a fan of nowak, hristo and wolff but the salary cap forced those moves.
He also mentioned the fire after florida would go to europe for more spring training.
