Clearly this could disadvantage China and give an advantage to Denmark, as they will now know exactly what they need to do to qualify when their game starts. (which is of course why the games were originally scheduled to start at the same time)

AUS-NOR is being shown on ESPN2 if you missed it the first time. :)

    I'm back to bed. ;)

    The FIFA website is worthless.

Wish I could have found out about the change earlier but now that I'm awake, I can't get back to sleep.

Fifa finally updated the front page showing all 4 games in groups C & D as being played tomorrow, so yeah China v New Zealand is tomorrow as well.

The front page has changed, but the actual calendar page hasn't changed yet. The match pages haven't changed either.

Well considering they waited until 2 hours before kickoff time this morning to let the teams know their game day was changed, this delay on updating pages is certainly in keeping with their MO.

Sometimes I truly believe FIFA hates soccer.

No game at 7, either? ESPN needs to change their schedule page. hell, I've got a mtg @ 7 tomorrow, scheduled b/c there weren't games that day. Mother nature hates soccer.

They don't hate it, they just don't give a shit about it except as a way to make more money.

I said some terrible things to myself about ESPN when I got up this morning to find I'd taped two hours worth of SportsCenter, until they announced that the games had been postponed. I thought they'd moved the games to ESPN2 at the last minute.

Does anyone know if Thursday's broadcast schedule will be adjusted? ESPN's website still shows Aus-Can and Chi-NZ today, and Nor-Gha and Bra-Den tomorrow. Bleah.

    :)

I was really disappointed that the FIFA site didn't have a news release about the change. We had to learn about it from the GWN. ;)

I was wondering what happened! I just woke up, all ready to watch Aus-Can, and found 2 hours of SportsCenter. So much for that.

It takes time to make the changes and decide where to put each game.

I have DTV and they never got any of the schedule changes so, to be safe, I have manually set my DTiVos to start at 4:55 AM EST and record through noon on all the possible chs as ESPN may place the games anywhere. (I hope they use ESPN and ESPN 2 but, for changes like this there are no guarantees.

So I will have 3 DTiVos covering 5 chs in that period. ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN Classic, and ESPN U. I know it is overkill but this way I am covered.

This change of schedule really frustrated me as well . I recorded 4 hrs of SC this morning . I was ready to write a note to ESPN and thought I had better look up BS Forums . I would look foolish had I not read this particulat thread. BTW I Also recorded SC for the 2 games that were supposed to have moved to Monday from Tues. What a messup . Hopefully it will work out OK from now onwards.

I'm still waiting for FIFA to move the WWC to the US because of bad weather in China.

I just checked the ESPN/ESPN2 coverage for. They still show the Norway/Ghana game at 2.00am and the Brazil/Denmark game at 5.00am (Pacific Time) .No schedule for the Aust/Canada and China /NZ games yet. I have to assume that the games will be on ESPN at 2.00am and 5.00am resp. I will have to check later in the day to confirm.
