I don't care much for pre-season games but this looks like a decent idea. You probably would have liked one really big team in it but that would probably have been much more expensive.

From the Schalke website: On the first day of the tournament head coach Jens Keller's men will meet West Ham United, while on the Sunday an encounter with Newcastle United awaits. Both matches will kick off at 5.30pm. Setting the ball rolling on each day of the tournament will be Spanish first division club FC Malaga, with games in each instance starting at 3.30pm against first Newcastle and then West Ham. ....... The competition is being broadcast live in up to 160 countries.

Not a good start yesterday. 6/7 on pens vers West Ham and an empty Arena. Guess price were to high for a pre season tournament Almostn more Englishmen than Schalker in the Arena

Wasn't Sane 13 last year? I didn't realize EMCM had claimed it. It's a shame we couldn't get more of our starters on the pitch for these games. A few of our U19s and U23s just looked a bit naive today, not that it's surprising at all. I feel like we're asking a bit too much of them.

I saw that article a few days ago. It's a good read. I don't put much weight behind these loses. We're missing so many starters right now.
