they should look exactly like the ones that v army sold this year, but they should definetely say 2002 open cup champions.
Kryptonite, this has to be one of your better pot-induced ideas. However, with all due respect to V-Army I'd prefer the Crew step up to the plate on this one. While I enjoy my V-Army produced scarf, an Open Cup champions scarf would be really sweet with a Crew logo and I don't think V-Army or any of us common-folk have that power. I think the Crew should market the hell out of last night's victory. For example, they should be working with one of the various photographers to get a poster made of the boys on the platform with the cup and their medals, especially if you can get Mr. Hunt in the shot. They should maybe put this achievement on the season tickets and every advertisement should somehow include the words "2002 US Open Cup Champions." And, for important aesthetic matters: will they hang a banner (and where?) or will they fly a flag?
Title on tickets Title on scarves with crew logo Banner to hang for all to see. Good ideas. With the scarves though, i'll admit i'm not a fan of the double sided, reversed color scheme. Don't know why, just not.
i have the idea. i'll tell it to the office on monday. Yellow scarves, black writing. COLUMBUS CREW 2002 US OPEN CUP CHAMPIONS Crew logo at each end, pointing towards the tassels. In this case, IMO, keeping it simple is better.
As always, I'll start working on the next season's scarf in the offseason. I'm sure all of us want this V-Army made scarf to be sepcial, and I promise we won't dissapoint. I also hope the Crew mgt. have something quality made, I'm just not interested in the neon-yellow POS they had soccerscarf.com make.
i just jotted down an idea I think will be a huge hit! I'll see what the fan reaction to it after I make a more respectable online version and submit it to my V-Army brothers.
