Yeah, I was pretty shocked to read they are claiming 30,000 potential STH seats. I didn’t think they would have even 3,000 interested attendees. But, just as a possible indicator of the future, FCC sold a lot of STH seats in their inaugural season, but already their stadium attendance is looking sparse. So unless Precourt brings in a deep pocket partner, It looks like Austin will get the inaugural season honeymoon, followed by a lot of second season STH divorces. Because, after all, this is the same front office that tried to exterminate the Crew. So I already hate Austin FC and have no intention of ever changing my opinion.

I don't think so. I know we have an Other Teams' Results thread, but, maybe we need an Other Teams News Thread where we can post general, non-results articles into.
The Other Teams' Results thread can also accommodate news about Austin FC's FO hires, if people on this forum are actually interested in discussing Austin's FO hires.
The thread initially started to Save (the Columbus ) Crew. I guess because they had a bond with us Quakes fans for having a team moved.

Gee what if the Quakes put $45M into academy and office facilities? Actually that seems like a huge amount of money for such a project.
Gee. What if the Quakes could find a suitable location for the training/academy grounds they have already said they want to build.
I have heard that, but apparently mj thinks/feels the Quakes have no intention of doing either of those things.
Or, if the Quakes were willing to spend $45M, certainly that should be enough budget to not have to pin their hopes on government land.
Yeah, but, you are talking land around here. 5-6? years ago they almost took over operation of the big sports complex in Morgan Hill between Dunne and Tennant right off of 101. If I remember correctly, they were going to have both the team and academy training center there, but, then pulled out of the deal. I believe they just saw it as too far away for both the academy players, and the team. If they can build a partnership with the city and county to get something built at the fairgrounds it would be a win-win-win for all parties involved.
