It has come to our attention that a local college game will be broadcast via FSC next month. It is imperiative that as many 1906ers attend this game to get the word out on the campaign to save the Mighty Vics from extinction. Lets get involve.

I will provide fliers to be passed out among the college fans. We are working on a SaveTheVics.org banner. I need volunteers. I will not be able to attend because I will be in Mexico City from October 3rd thru the 15th. During my absence, Tony will be my point man. All volunteers call me or email me as soon as possible. No PI's please.

I was thinking "SAVE THE VICTORY . ORG"... big enough that both fans and the TV cameras can see it.

    How big?

I have never been in that stadium, and my concern is that,if there is a place to hung a banner lets say 3' x 10'

    Now how about :

Let's keep soccer in San Francisco
    WWW.SAVETHEVICS.ORG

All these with the logo of the Victory in one side and the logo of the 1906 in the other.

    GO VICS !!

I like it. I think "Keep Soccer In San Francisco" might work better. Lets sounds like a question or suggestion. Some smartass might think let's not. I am not an advertising professional just a fan. Amongst ourselves we might say let's save the vics, but to the world we say united Keep Soccer in San Francisco.

the most important thing is to advertise the URL, "Keep Soccer In San Francisco" won't really help get people to the site, which is the ultimate goal, more registered members=more money towards saving the vics, so i think savethevictory.org on a big banner would be the simplest and most effective way to get the word out

In a way you're right, but a banner saying only savethevictory.org,doesn't give a minimal hint of what the site is all about.

Believe it or not, there are many soccer fans in the bay area that, are not aware of the existance of the Victory and/or their situation.

My proposal is the words "keep soccer in San Francisco" to be in the banner in
    a lot smaller words than savethevictory.org .

    GO VICS !!

I'm sure you know, but just to be sure, it's www.savethevictory.org, not www.savethevics.org ... I just don't want anyone to go to the trouble making a banner with the wrong url. ;)

    Re: savethevictory.org banner

Does any body knows what the maximum banner size allowed in the stadium.

I do not want to make it to small that nobody will be able to see it, nor
to big that won't be allowed to be hung in the stadium.

    As right now I'm thinking of a 12' x 4'
Keep in mind that I'll try to place the Victory's logo in one side and the
    1906's logo in the other.

    GO VICS !!

I've added yosmaikel's cool mini-banner to the BAUSLS site providing a link to the Save the Victory home page.
