Another year, another Al Wehda relegation.

Oh well, at least we can pass the time until next season passing news and rumours about which players get traded and transferred this offseason:

Al Taawoon sign Sierra Leone international Alhaji Kamara from D.C United. Kamara was diagnosed with a serious heart defect in 2015.

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40393780

Al Hilal claim they have received three offers (allegedly from Al Fayha,Shabab and Ittihad) for Nasser Al Shamrani but none have been able to meet their requirements that the transfer fee upfront. (Arabic link):

I don't know why Al Hilal are acting so cautiously with Al Shamrani, they loaned him out last season which clearly shows he's not in their first team plans, not to mention he'll be turning 34 next year and has maybe one or two more seasons left in him.

Even at 32 or 33, he's still deadly and lethal up front both at club and national team level... I wonder if there's any talent up front in Saudia after Shamrani and Qahtani... Thought Sahlawi is there but he's not as lethal as Qahtani used to be in his prime time... Saudi needs to be figure out and find out similar or better talent than Qahtani (when he was in his prime) and fast... Probably you have talent but they only need to be nurtured and given more prime time.

Instead of hiring foreign players for forward positions, it will be better if you hire foreign players as goal keepers and then hire your own Saudi (home-made) talent in forward positions ... Let them take the opportunity as you used to do from mid 80s to early 2000 when you discovered talents such as Majed, Fahads (Muhalel and Gheshyan), Sami, etc...

Saudi clubs will never bring in foreign keepers. If you have slots for only a few foreign players in your team, you will almost always take players that can contribute goals and assists.

Though maybe with raising the foreign player limit from 4 to 6 will make clubs take on foreign GKs.

Hilal looks one of these clubs who will look for a foreign GK according to the most reliable sources. I think the team needs an attacking midfielder more than a GK, but who knows maybe a GK in his day can decide a very close game like the ones in ACL...

I think they are trying to make some $$ and cut their losses. He is 34 but I won't be surprised if he turned out to be one of the highest paid players in the team, the problem is Nasser is a competitive guy so I can't see him joining Alfaihaa or similar club, as for the big clubs I don't know who can afford to sign Nasser and guarantee a starting position for him.

Didn't he have a good half season with Al Ain? I think they can easily afford him.

    GK Rumours:

*Al Taawon have expressed interest in signing Veteran Egyptian Goal Keeper, Essam Al Hadari

*Al Shabab want to sign Ittihad Aleppo keeper Ibrahim Alama OR Al Hilal reserve keeper Khalid Sharahili

*Ali Al Habsi has denied rumours that he has been contacted by Al Hilal for a possible transfer from Reading.

Maybe, but I'm not sure if it will be good enough for a top club's manager to hand a 34 years old striker a starting spot, which I think is what's going on in Nasser's mind. The younger Saudi strikers are already struggling to start in Nassr & Ahli's games, so Ittihad & Shabab (IF they can overcome their financial issues) should be his next destination IMO.

    Some confirmed transfers -

    Mukhtar Fallatah moves to Hilal
Ahmed Zain moves to Ahli from Tawoon
Ittihad retains Fahd Ansari, Carlos Villaneua and probably Kahraba too for next season
Also, Jamal Bagandoh renews contract with Ittihad which means Hilal is not going to rob him..

We have Mukhtar Fallatah which I rate him far better than Sahlawi and other strikers we have in pocket now...Only issue is his behaviour ..He is strong in air, good passing and finishing power..I think now he moves to Hilal and if gets chance he can shine in club n NT too since he has entered his prime now..

Hilal made the most impressive moves so far, we will see if the new players adapt quickly but the squad depth certainly makes them better prepared to go for it all in next season.

BTW it looks Shabab is close to sign Nasser Alshamrani, but there are differences as Hilal wants the ~9 MR. fee to be paid in advance not in installment as Shabab prefers. I don't know how Nasser will get the minutes he wants there as he won't start ahead of Ben Yettou, unless Sami decides to go with a classic 4-4-2 which is unlikely considering their average midfield.

Lol @ Alfaihaa, where is all that money coming from? [emoji51] I don't remember any promoted team being financially backed as they currently are, I hope they make the league more interesting (especially vs. the big teams).

    The Tuwaijris!
They've laid low in the past 2 years. Its now time to return to the scene by spending on their home team a small fraction of the billions they amassed during the time they ran the country.
Looks like its working already. Would be interesting to follow Al-fayhaa on and outside the field lol.

Till the time Nasser Al Shamrani is not able to find any other club, Why Don't Al Hilal Management and Coach play Nasser Al Shamrani with the Olympic Team in Arab Cup in Egypt ?...

Also, till the time Nasser Al Shamrani and Naif Hazzazi are not able to find any club, why don't Al Hilal and / or Saudi National Team / Association play both of them in Al Hilal Olympic Team participating in Arab Cup in Egypt ?....

At least both of them will be fit for the Saudi National Team matches for WC2018 Qualifier ...

    What's your say ?

    - Feiha signs Emilio Izaguire from Celtic and Chlien Ronnie Fernandes.

"Me too" signings every year is a big reason Ittihad's in this financial mess.
Better to build on the stability of having the same manager and squad from last year, instead of chasing the flashes of the press

Yes I agree, but also I don't agree is we need to fill the gap where we suck like the defense and no back up for Ahmed Akaichi.
