The Saudi Press Agency announced a 28-man squad for the next Gulf Cup. Noor and Shamrani are back IN. Yasser Al-Qahtani and Abdullah Shuhail are also back IN after injury. Mohammed Al-Shalhoub, Faisal Al-Sultan, and Hassan Muath are OUT.
Finally, the first team regular (Al-Shamrani) is in and the substitute (Al-Sultan) is out. Seems to be a pretty good squad.
Kamil Al-Murr is in, but not the other two. http://forum.kooora.com/f.aspx?t=13520462 They're going to cut it down to 21 players eventually, though. Isn't it ironic that we only chose a full-strength squad for this Micky Mouse tournament but not for the two home qualifiers when we really needed them?
But I like the Gulf Cup. We get to brag to all other gulf nations when we beat them. THAT'S MORE IMPORTAN THAN QUALIFY.........
Expected, espicially after the weak performances, they are going to do anything to get the NT back and calling the 'banned' players is the first move.
I am not a supporter of the idea of Noor coming back in the national team, i dont think he's going to be of any use. No one mentioned anything about al bahri, and what about al harthi, i know he is injured though!
Saudi Arabia got a friendly away on Dec 23 against Bahrain , and a scheduled home friendly against Syria on Dec 27. Omani newspaper write that Saudi Arabia has asked for a friendly against Oman on Dec 27. Is the friendly against Syria same day cancelled ? http://www.timesofoman.com/innercat.asp?detail=21519&rand=ZBVXqhmGe8VLKClKmEhJN1dtwQ
