No, it's because in the final third there were 3 koreans for every Saudi player.

    Also, our midfield is poor.

its because noor and abdulrahman cant play soccer and yasser and hazazi dont know how to score

and the koreans were basically lined up covering the goal

To be honest, im not feeling sad, we will easily beat bahrain and New zeland insha allah

    and

    ضيَقنا الإيرانين =)

That wasn't the reason he was allegedly going to resign.

Anyway, it was just a rumour going around. I don't know if anything has actually happened.

(Even if it was a rumor) So what reason was given? I hope he doesnt, not like a new dude would make us any better...imagine if Nasser gets the job in the meanwhile though, lol, to keep the coach seat nice and warm.

The rumor says that he was upset with SBF. The source isn't very strong, however.

Sayf, did you notice how 'extra' tense Peseiro seemed the last game? Maybe because I was chilling so much I found it odd, but he seemed really tense and under alot of pressure. I remember seeing him lose it when Abdulrahaman Al Qahtani gave the ball back to the North Koreans as a gesture of good sportmanship, when they were just obviously time wasting.

And we only won at home once (against UAE).

Yeah I noticed that (it was Abdelghani btw not ARQ), and I didn't blame him at all. They were obviously time-wasting He was incessantly shouting during the whole second half too. I think it had a bad effect on the team as it only made the players more nervous and less patient in their attacking play.

I guess it would have looked much more impressive on his resume to get 2nd spot considering how bad things were when he took over.

I think we've seen Mohamed Noor and Abdul Rahman Al Qahtani play soccer and Yasser is in a slump but he knows where the goal is.

AN hAZAZI doesn't know how to score?!?

Face it, Korea played 10-0-0 so a draw was the only outcome. Look what Iraq managed to do, they held Spain (the best NT in the world) to only one goal by playing like North Korea.

Did you hear the Korean coach's post-match comments?

He said "we've been observing the Saudis since the beginning of the round and it was clear to us they lacked good strikers."

    lol

    That's a shame.
In worst case, we won't be able to see Saudi Arabia in South Africa.

Pesiero is still with the team. Again this was a big waste of chance, we just needed to score one goal in Riyadh, what a shame.

    spain 5- 0 new zealand
    south africa 2 - 0 new zealand
    iraq 0 - 0 new zealand
saudi was beaten by spain 1 - 0 ,drew with south africa 2 - 2 ,balance record with iraq..
if saudi beats bharain then the above stats show saudi can be toooo strong for the kiwi side...

And most of those stats are years old. we lost 1-0 to Spain's B side and Spain has gotten much much stronger since then.

That "B-side" still had enough good players to be in the world's top 5 or 6 teams (to tell you the truth, Spain and Brazil don't really have "B" sides these days). I'm not even sure it was a B-side because Iniesta, Raul, and Fabregas were starters, and Xavi, Torres, and Villa played most of the second half.

But you're right all those results are meaningless because they're ancient history.

But let me tell you, if we make it to the WC this year, I sure as hell hope we get drawn with the hosts. :p
