Saudi Arabia can’t get enough. It drags world-class stars into its football league, the national team there uses a club owned by Saudi owners to sportwash without trying to hide it, and there is now talk of Middle Eastern clubs playing in the European Champions League. What do you think about that? https://ruiksport.com/neymar-or-ron...prestigious-club-competition/#google_vignette
I think guest teams from outside UEFA would be interesting. Perhaps teams from the North American MLS, China, India, Northern Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Qatar, UAE, or even Saudi Arabia could be invited as guests in the Champions League. But we would still need European places in the World Club Championship to be guaranteed to European teams.
I like this idea tbh.. Why not? But, i doubt many of the European Countries would accept this idea while they need more chances of their clubs to be among the UCL competition.
