just got introduced to BigSoccer, so thought I'd say hello... It's so great to read everyone's posts - gets me all excited about the next game. I've been a Fire fan for the past 2 years, metra and all. Can't wait to hear the old Fire chants again! Although I have to admit the one that starts out "everybody! everybody!" took me a little while to catch on to. call me slow. :)

Hope to see you all out on Saturday.

Is there any postgame drinking going on??

I think the Arsonists are sponsoring a Younglife party if anyone is interested.

I've always been shocked that the Fire subforum didn't have a tagline that was about beer... but that's just me.

A lot of people go to Bar Louie, near the corner of Polk and State (at Dearborn Station), post-match.

    Re: hi everyone

Is there another place beside Bar Louie (just curious) that is good for hanging out pregame and maybe watching DC-Metro?

Like, say, one that could handle a bunch of rowdy young 20-somethings who want to get boozed up, slick back their hair and smoke large cigars while chomping gum?

The South Loop Club at 701 S. State St. isn't bad. They were even showing the boring Inter-Juventus Champions League Final once when I passed.

    Into the joke! D'oh. :p

That said. I think either Bar Louie or another nearby joint will have us covered.
