I've heard two things about the parking, but not from a team source:

    1) Season ticket passes will not be honored (this would suck)

    b) parking fee will be $15 (this would suck more)

Any idea if either or both is true??

My understanding is that both are true. They charged $15 for the WCQ a couple weeks ago.

That was definitely true of last year's playoff game so it does not surprise me at all.

According to the Screaming Eagle Ticket Mistress "I’m also sorry to report that discounted parking passes are not available for Lot 8, thanks to the stadium authority."

Which sucks because I have some left over, if they raise the price I will be even more annoyed. Whatever the price it will be worth it to see the Metros suck more than Mayor McSuck of Sucktown.

I usually Metro, but whenever I do drive, I always find street parking within a block or two of the Metro. $15 to park is ridiculous.

I (season pass holder) was able to buy parking passes when I ordered my playoff tickets. They charged me $10 per parking pass, but the tickets say $15.

I ordered early though, so don't know if that made a difference.

If you don't have a dire need to be in Lot 8 (say you're bringing supplies to feed the masses), then I suggest that everyone consider an alternative. I've been driving to RFK for a few years now and have never paid for parking and have never been ticketed nor had problems. One alternative is to head to a place along the orange/blue, such as near capitol south to one of the bars, and then take metro to the game. You can also park along East Capitol until 17th St, then walk three blocks. The A Streets on either side of East Capitol usually have plenty of parking spaces available. Or you could do as Lowecifer does and park at New Carrolton and take the very short metro ride.

    Cheers,
    Tim

The ad in todays print edition of the Washington Post says that the box office opens at 3. If the box office opens at 3 then why is the parking lot opening at 4? Nimrods......

PS...can someone confirm that Lot 8 opens at 4? I'm coming straight from work and need to know which route to take, thanks....

i was told the lot will open at 3. you can always go through either 8a (employee entrance) or lot 5 and just come into lot 8 even if the 8 gate ain't open yet.
