I'd like to propose a Saturday night pre-drinking dinner for anyone interested (read: this is what I'll be doing, so you might as well join me). Slightly more than 1/2 mile from Hollywood Billiards, site of the Bash, is a branch of one of Los Angeles' most famous dining establishments. No, not the Brown Derby. Any schmuck can put some avocado and ham on a pile of lettuce. I'm talking about food, dare I say it, for the soul. I'm talking about chicken. I'm talking about waffles. I'm talking...about Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. 1518 N Gower St. I'd imagine that dinner lines can be long. 6:15, perhaps. 6:30 at the outside? Thoughts? Be there.
Yeah, lets see. Chicken and Waffles, followed by beer. Or go watch a Gala. Hmmm.... The Gala might be cool to say you were there and stuff, but chicken and waffles sounds pretty good.
As a SoCal local, I can tell you that Roscoe's is abosolutely worth the trip. And, if you miss them on Saturday, there is another Roscoe's less than fifteen minutes from the stadium in Long Beach.
Right - but I say that because the handful that will be at the Awards Gala will be getting dinner - putting us all at the Bash around the same time.
A trip to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles presents not only the oportunity to eat Chicken and Waffles yourself but also the opportunity to WATCH Jason Thompson eat chicken and waffles, which I gather is a life-changing experience
All you guys are out there?!?!? I'm jealous. But not surprised. We'll hold down the fort at Coach's...I think it will be a crowd! Poor Coach Gansler and Jimmy! Maybe this will help them bear down and roll 'em over......in spite. Big Pat
Hope that I am not posting this too late as many of you may already be in Los Angeles. Roscoe's House of Chicken’n Waffles - Official Website Hollywood Roscoe's located: 1514 N. Gower St. (323) 466-7453 or (323) 466-9329 On the Corner of Sunset and Gower next to the CBS Studios. Come hungry!
