This heat has me staying one, working and watching way to much football. I will not watch Norwich or Sarge again. A bridge way to far and it would mean I have a problem.
Was hoping he'd take that chance and blast it after the initial touch but he just has this bad habit of hesitating or not anticipating the right move at the last second. He was lively for sure though.
Nor'ich attacking early. It's looking interesting. its on espn+, you know... it seems like most of the fwd has been coached out of him- he doesnt work the cbs at all, doesnt make runs...its just a bummer watching him play
Sarge's been moving well but prefers to make the final pass instead of the shot. Even though he's the #9 positionally, he's acting more like an AM. Creating some trouble, but in the last five minutes Millwall has recovered. No one likes Millwall.
Norwich keeping the ball and circulating around the Millwall area, no production though. They've been playing with themselves for 10 minutes.
Good strength to hold off the defender earlier and keep possession. Lots of aimless crosses, just missed an awkward looking volley.
Sarge got a cross on the volley but badly and the ball went to the side. Not a good look. First half over. Millwall is playing defensive @ Carrow Road, but when they counter it's like a herd of buffalo running downhill. They all move together, quite impressive.
Ball was behind him and it looked like his plant foot slipped on the replay but still not a great look.
SARGENT GOAL! Nice touch to control and shoot near post on the move. He'll probably still come off in favor of Pukki soon, but let's build some stats and confidence...
so simple you wonder why norwich cant freaking get looks at goals more often. very nice play and finish from sarge
Sinani pass from the center, Sarge runs right and shoots while running & marked tight by Wallace, crossing the ball past Bialkowski. Not an easy one.
Ha. Some real old school championship style play by millwall defender on Josh. Ha.. tackled him while on the ground. Bummer because Josh was clear with ball at top of the box for an open shot on goal.
Sargent blocks a keeper clearance, and nearly catches the high bouncing ball at the near post to sneak it past the keeper, but nice recovery by the keeper.
Half-joking, I think: A Sargent that starts 40 games at center forward could win the Championship Golden Boot.
Hard presses the keeper and gets deflection with the hopeful leap... chases it down and gets a difficult angle shot on goal, deflects off keeper for corner.
