Sarge, Dike, Pepi, Hoppe, and our other young strikers will probably mature into consistent professional goal scorers, 5 - 8 years from now.

    Can hardly wait.

Mostly good results for Norwich today:

    - Brentford and Leeds continue to implode- bringing them into possible relegation fight.

    - Watford and Burnley are playing much better as of late today- but they each ‘only’ grabbed a point. So certainly not ideal, but they are within range still

sorry but lol. they are within range?

they are ********ed. they have 17 points off 26 games. Mathematically they will need at least 5 points in their last 12 games avoid the drop. That is assuming every single other team in the bottom 4 losses out -- an assumption based only in math not reality.

Reality is that they will likely need at least 30 points to stay up, and that is a Norwich friendly estimate. So they "only" need 13 points in 12 games!

Importantly, Everton and Burnley have 2 games in hand on Norwich.

Want another reality check? The lowest total to ever stay up is 34.

They are going down. I'd bet my entire life on it. The odds are over 98%.

Yes, the odds are against them.

But if they win against Brentford and win/tie Leeds (and their competitors cool off for a couple games), the table tightens again.

I agree they need 33-34 pts to have a chance.
    Very difficult but not impossible.

I would not bet money on them to stay up, but also don’t bet your life bro. Not a good story for your grandkids if you miscalculate here.

If they can’t pull 4 points in next 2 games, they will be below 5% for me as well

On at the half against LFC in this FA cup match. Ran onto a good ball on the counter and hit it wide.

Great fading run from near to far post to get his head on a cross... but the header is poor, and goes well wide.

SARGENT ASSIST! He came on at half, moved to the Pukki spot halfway through the second half, and just had a nice simple pass to Rupp in the 77th that Rupp blasted home from distance. Narrows the lead to 2-1.

Nice pass through the lines there. Great finish. Liverpool complacent this half, and it's cost them.

Pool has 1 window and 3 subs left. And Mane on the bench.

Mane comes in. Norwich sure to win now. John Lowe on the left wing forces a very good save.

This is the defining week in the season for Norwich.

They need at least 4 points to have any slight possibility. Really 5 or more to really make it interesting.

    Today: Brentford
    Thursday: Chelsea
    Sunday: @ Leeds

2 of the games are definitely winnable/‘tie-able’. Time to do it, boys!

Both Gilmore and Rashica with great chances to score in the first 5 minutes- and can’t get the job done.

Devastating loss- especially since 3 points to one of the teams they needed to catch.

    It does seem impossible now.

Having said, football just doesn’t seem as important given what’s going on in the world now. I have friends in both Ukraine and Russia.

A tie today (however improbable) and a win against Leeds (improbable but probably more possible than a tie against Chelsea today) would get Norwich back to some sort of slight chance to stay up.

But based on form since Josh’s 2 goals (many weeks ago), 4 points in the next 2 games seems a pipe dream..

He’s our lad, though, so we will keep rooting for happy times & goals.

Thought we might have dueling pbp threads, but no, Pulisic blinked first. For easy reference:
