If you didn't see this on the Kimmel Show last night, check out the following clip: She originally made the video for his 40th birthday celebration, but the writers strike took away that show. Instead, she broke it out for his 5-year anniversary show last night.
I'll have to disagree. That's definitely one of my "guilty pleasure" comedies. I'm not claiming it's high art by any means...but there's lots in that movie that makes me laugh.
Classic skit. The fact that Matt Damon actually takes part in this bit is what totally makes it brilliant comedy. By itself it would have been funny, but with him doing some singing too it gives it lasting value.
Maybe it's been too long ago, but I can't recall any other genuinely funny moment in there. Well, the Eastern European exchange rate joke got a smile out of me probably, but other than that...
the only thing i know is that it is pure genius sneaking into eurotrip after watching the passion...i thought eurotrip was the hands down funniest thing on the planet after that snuff film
I really thought a European would have been more open to laughing at the stupidity of American tourists. It's funny that he doesn't do a lot of comedy, but seems like a guy with a good sense of humor, whereas Affleck has been in a number of comedies and seems to be something of an ass.
I never encounter any American tourists quite like the bunch in that movie. He's done "Stuck on you" and "The Brothers Grimm". So he has done some comedy. Him and Greg Kinnear made a very enjoyable and somewhat unlikely comedy duo in Stuck on you.
I had forgotten about the running gag a couple of years ago that Kimmel would apologize at the end of the show about having to bump Matt Damon. Here's a link to a story with some YouTube links that explains and predates the now famous Silverman birthday present video. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20175789,00.html
