https://www.telecharge.com/eventlis...1&Source=000&EVENT_LOCATION=SEARCH&Detail=YES Has anyone seen this show? Her TV appearances are always gut busting funny, especially when she was a guest on Conan a couple of years back. There aren't too many stand up comedians who are funnier than Sarah right now. It's a little expensive but I hope to check it out.
From what I've seen on Conan, she's friggin hilarious. I can only imagine what she's like on stage. Tickets sure as hell ain't cheap but I'd definitely think about goin.
I saw her appearance on Conan, and she went off on this tangent where she was talking about getting drunk with some of her guy friends, and how this one guy didn't want to put his ballsack in a glass of beer (on a dare) because if he did and his balls floated, then they'd all know his balls were a witch. I'd go see her in a second!
I saw it (despite the restraining order). Think of it as a really, really expensive meal at the GREATEST RESTAURANT EVER. It's a short show (a little under an hour), so it's a crap deal for the money, but she is off-the-charts funny. "I'm so not a racist. I even dated a Mexican once. And Mexicans are filthy!" RS
Re: Re: Sarah Silverman: "Jesus Is Magic", 5/13-24 in NYC Hmmm. At the Telecharge site, it says the routine's 75 min long. If she's as funny as she is on TV, I wouldn't mind paying $25+. For your viewing pleasure, one of Sarah's Conan appearances: http://www.wildhobbies.com/triumph/01-26-00/sara_silverman.rm (the Hitler bit at the end just kills me)
Re: Re: Re: Sarah Silverman: "Jesus Is Magic", 5/13-24 in NYC When I saw her last August at the Culture Project in the village, she had a band called the Silver Men play three songs at the beginning of the evening. That would put it ~75 minutes. RS
Re: Re: Re: Re: Sarah Silverman: "Jesus Is Magic", 5/13-24 in NYC Thanks, that makes sense. I really don't mind that it's short since her 7-minute TV appearances usually have me rolling and I'm not sure if more than an hour of her would be healthy. Still $25+....
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Sarah Silverman: "Jesus Is Magic", 5/13-24 in NYC You should DEFINITELY go. I'm trying to round up a group to split gas/toll/parking charges and head up for it from DC. I brought one other person last time. RS
Is this something that is only going to happen in NYC or is there plan to tour with the show at some point?
