The 2nd Bundesliga is wild. I used to think the Championship was full of unpredictability but lately promotion places are just filled with "yo-yo" clubs. Though Koln could be considered a yo-yo club. The 2BL table is always jammed packed. It's a grind. I think this season something like 6 clubs held the top spot. Ten points separated 1st and 9th. Every game mattered. You get you money's worth watch the 2BL... that's for sure. It sucks for Paderborn. For large stretches of the season they looked like sure promotion favorites. They hit a little rough patch in late Feb / early March - I think - and they were playing catchup from there on. Santi played solidly. He definitely had some inconsistent stretches and his inexperience showed at times but the talent was clearly seen. Another season in the 2BL is going to do him wonders. I expect him to take another leap forward. This time next year, it wouldn't surprise me to see him being heavily linked to a Bundesliga club regardless of where Paderborn falls in the table.
