Called in to Mexico U17s for a camp ahead of tournament against a number of teams including the US U17s. He was not listed on the initial roster. His Instagram confirms he's already training with them.

Munoz played for Mexico U17s yesterday against the United States. 2-1 win for the American kids. Santiago played at FCD's El Paso affiliate before moving to Mexico. Here is is post-game with current FCD academy player Nico Carrera.

Good to know if true. Do you have a link to an article quoting him or some other source?

He won’t have to change his sock colors. And if he’s really interested in playing for US then by all means, let’s get him. Busy year ahead. All hands on deck.

My Spanish is just ok, but the general Twitter reaction seemed very positive from Santos fans. He was subbed out in the 90th in a 1-0 win. Not directly involved in the goal.
