It was his first start in a while on the weekend, wouldn't be surprised if he was fatigued and not ready to go again, which would leave you off the bench. Fingers crossed he's not injured or just completely out of favor. Vrsaljko had a very good game though, so I doubt we see Arias in the reverse fixture.

Arias not even on the bench today for Atletico, Trippier is back on the bench too so Arias may not see a lot more PT any time soon :(. At least James and Arias will be fresh for Copa America and it will do them some good to get more chances for games.

He will be the freshest substitute RB behind Medina on the bench.
I am calling it now. Medina will be our guy in 2020.

Well, Copa is now in 2021 so maybe he will play better by then. Or Arias, or anyone else who emerges for that matter.

I just noticed he is starting again today.
Could this be a sign of things to come?

Arias is a sub today. Trippier back in starting lineup.

I wonder if Simeone resents Arias bc anytime he sees him, it reminds him of 0-5 ;)

Looks like it is a rotation now which is not a bad move.

They need to shuffle in bodies so they can be fresh for the Champions League run they want to make in August.

Now it will be very interesting to see who starts in the CL. It may all depend on the opponent and their style of play rather than which player Simeone prefers.

I thought he played pretty well today.

Had good offensive chances and was pretty solid in the back for the most part.
He did get a ball between his legs but to be fair a lot of the attack from Levante came from that wing.

He's playing well at both ends. This game should really help him, he really is much better defensively then Trippier.

I think that Arias playing such a crucial game for Barca says a lot for him right now. We thought he was a gonner at the start of the year but he has been plying better and more consistently. Today he had a good match at both ends. Put a nice pass that Costa could no put in and defended well on his wing

I wouldn't read to much into it, him and Trippier have been alternating every other game. We'll see how it goes when there aren't games every 2-3 days, he's done well and Atleti have gotten better attacking as the season goes one and don't need to rely on the fullbacks for creativity anymore which is in Arias favor.
